More than words – The Voice of There

There’s All Brand New!

When you think of the Seven Man-Made Wonders of the Modern World, the ones that most often come to mind are:

Eiffel Tower
Empire State Building
Suez Canal
Golden Gate Bridge
Dneproges Dam on the Dnepr River in Russia
Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwell, England
Alaska (Alcan) Highway

With the update to our world debuting this past week, There created 6 new modern wonders of its own! At approximately 4:00 pm PST on Thursday, the World opened up all its new splendor and magnificence, revealing new scenic locales, new, and returning effects, and, because of a new “Tweak” display feature, a whole new outlook on life in There! (The better to see you, my dear!) Recognition, admiration and praise has been pouring in to the forums and fan sites to the hard working staff at There, Inc., all the beta testers in the World, and, of course, all of the Therian citizens that make our world what it is today. Follow along with me as your guide, as we take a tour of only a fraction of the new scenery~

1. Comet Island * (snow capped mountains)
This island is beautiful, especially the snow-capped glistening mountain, and the rugged cliffs (ideal for diving) on the northern cape. The sun is warm on my face, but the air smells a little like the air after a recent thunderstorm. The wind blowing through my hair as I speed on my hoverbike through the unexplored wilderness, I encounter every imaginable assortment of wildlife possible in There (er….dogs!).

2. New Kansas *
I found this island to be a mammoth, breathtaking and wild frontier land, begging to be explored. Mostly lowland terrain, New Kansas is comprised of vast prairies, sweeping grass-covered hills and LAKES! Rest assured that Fun Zones, Frontier Zones, Houses, PAH’s and PAZ’s will someday develop (although dropping is currently not allowed), neighborhoods and communities will thrive, and the economy will blossom and bloom with all the new growth. Recreational parks and facilities for vehicles are sure to keep Therians occupied for many, many years, along with providing opportunities for new museums, art galleries, shopping malls, dog parks and clubs.

3. Hot Dog Stand

This whimsical little business venture may produce, out of its doors, the next “Nathan” of the wiener world! Feeling rather fatigued from my tour, I sat down to partake in the delicious wares. I wasn’t disappointed. The frankfurters turning over the coals (ACTUALLY turning, folks!) were definitely reminiscent of the famous hot dog housed in New York City. Along with a forkful of sauerkraut, mustard, a soda and chili fries, my strength was almost immediately renewed!

…..er….well…maybe it will be, after I take just one more little detour! (*blush!)

4. Boardwalk

5. Fallen Paz
The story goes, that, just minutes prior to the update, the time that There would close, the owner was working hard on the PAZ in the sky, knowing that every minute that passed, meant it was closer to the deadline!…The time when every living, breathing being in There must leave the world or suffer a deadly destructive fate. “This Place – Gear – Structures – Wooden Paz – take out, position, place here….again! This Place – Gear – Structures – Jinx_TV Cream Indoor Stairs – take out, position, place here…again!… This Place – Gear – Structures –Roman Building Set– take out, position….”

Suddenly, his hoverpack ceased to function! He started to fall! All at once all of the air in the world seemed to be sucked out the top of the atmosphere! EVERYthing in his PAZ, the decks, the stairs, the building set, everything, started to swirl around him as he tumbled, over and over, sideways and backways, rolling and pitching…down…down…down….

This is all that was left. He was never found. A moment of silence, if you please.

6. "Cave" Tomb cover

Wouldn’t this be the perfect little hide-a-way? Can’t you just imagine someone lurking down under the cover,… waiting,… watching,… until, SUDDENLY! Your toes get licked, and licked, and licked again! (Mine!)
