Our Adventures at LiveQuest By Isalyna and AimeeAlene, as told to Rose_Blossom
Last Friday afternoon, 10:00 a.m., there I was…sweating over a spreadsheet, wondering how in the world I was going to pull this off. Should I feign a tropical disease? Perhaps I can come down with a contagious rash? Maybe develop a migraine? All I know is that I was getting a real migraine trying to work it out. I just HAD to be there in There!!! There have been many times I was tempted to call in sick on big events days in There, but the Aloha Friday Meet and Greet was one event that I really, REALLY wanted to be at. Geea didn’t have anyone covering for the Voice! And the journalist in me was going absolutely crazy!
As it got later and later, I became more and more concerned. And then, the heavens smiled down on me! I talked to our Research Assistant at the Voice, AimeeAilene, and our friend, Isalyna. As MY luck would have it, they were both willing to clear their schedules and help me out! They were going to “be my eyes and ears,” and go to the party for me! The talk in the forums was that this was going to be a very special party with very special guests, and also some surprises!
I spent, the next 3 hours on pins and needles waiting….waiting…for something, ANYthing…telling me what was going on. What I received the next day was enough to send me to the hospital for real! The following is an in-depth, in-person account, written by Isalyna, with photographs courtesy of AimeeAilene.
2 pm CST: (Isalyna speaking) I received call to attend the Aloha Party! I accept on the first call, knowing the lag will get bad. As I arrived at the party, there were already dozens and dozens of other avies visiting in the FunZone. After loading, I walked up the ramp into the Moroccan style house. There were so many there, visiting, laughing, talking. And there were also lots of blockheads. (The blockheads, …they were kinda …snobby... they didn’t say a word to anyone!)
I entered; I looked to my right, and saw 3-4 avies. Hula was standing there, wearing a white THERE T-shirt. I thought... ‘Hmmm... she is here’ I remembered something was going to happen!
2:15pm CST Not 1 minute after the gunfight, Cassiopeia started to speak and was roaming the room as she did, saying, “Hula has been kidnapped! What is with this security we hired! Guess you can’t trust a company with the name "Broken Lock Security!" They have taken her right from under our noses!!!"
Sharlee joined the voice conversation with her. All over the room bubbles were showing "Hula has disappeared!!" “Hula is GONE!” The atmosphere in the room changed from a casual social time, to one of confusion, almost panic, as people wondered and asked, what they should do?
Sharlee said to IM Jasper. People start to try him, and are unable to reach him... some start to disappear...
She then says to try Icedoll.
2:25pm CST I sent an IM to Icedoll. She tells me to expect an IM from Jasper. She also says to have a paint gun handy... a gun?? What have I gotten myself into? A fear enters my little avie heart as I wonder what kind of danger I have gotten myself into. Icedoll summons me, after I tell her I do not have a gun. She offers to lend me one. How nice! I converse with her, just outside the zone, but I know she is busy. I explain that I am having trouble with my computer, and I am lagging terribly! She is very understanding.
I make my way back into the house to look around. Maybe there are clues here? I find a winding staircase up to the next level. There are only 2 avies up here, but nothing really out of the ordinary.
Jasper_D They got Hula..... They have taken her.... Jasper_D All I can tell you is that if you want to help us rescue her you need to meet with someone. Jasper_D If you can help us I urge you to meet him underneath the south end of the Eagles Bluff Bridge. He will be there for the next 10 minutes. Jasper_D I can't tell you his name because it's too dangerous. Just look for the man with a red shirt on. Jasper_D Oh no they're on to me...... I have to go... Please don't be late. We are all counting on you! Jasper_D Again please see the man in red under the south end of Eagles Bluff Bridge!!! Jasper_D That is all... Isalyna ok System The person who started this IM has left the conversation. This window will now close. Ummm... ummm... hmmmm... ok... I quickly tell Aimee, I must go! Then I begin to try and find my way to Eagles Bluff. I bumble around in my search, using Interactive Maps, and then finally end up going thru the home search for that community to land on one of the houses there. By this time, it is probably 6-7 min!!! And he was only going to be there for 10!!! Trying not to get frustrated with all the lag I was experiencing, from loading map pages, and homes searches, and listening to other avies around me talking... talking, and Aimee sending me hearts and flowers... (Remember the SLOW ‘puter) I teleported to Eagles Bluff. It took FOREVER to land!!! I knew I must have missed him by now!! FINALLY I am able to move and start to make my way to the bridge. I walk like I am drunk…LAG and delayed movement throwing off my judgments. Stopping…. Starting…. Stopping… Starting…
I approach the end of the bridge and see Thalasso. While I am slowly approaching, he begins to talk in bubbles. (He sounds very upset at me!) "What are you doing here!? I am busy, I got work to do! I am trying to find him too!! "
I see Icedoll standing a bit off. She approaches me. I tell her, I am having major lag issues, and really not getting around very fast. She tells me to go back to the end of the bridge and under it. Look for Solas. So, I painstakingly make my way back and under the bridge. As I approach, there is the man in the red shirt! He is talking to about 5-6 others, 2 of which have paint guns pointed at him. I stand apart from the group, only to see his last words....
Solas: This is the number to call in case you need help ... There are seven numbers.... I will say them slowly... so you can see them all... (large numbers pop up above his head) ‘5 ....... '4 ....... 1...........'3...........'7............'1 .........and the last number is ...........Oh #%$%^ …. They FOUND me!" He proceeds to run toward the edge of the cliff as a buggy speeds up and chases him. Several of the avies that were there run after them. I run a bit, but I am very confused since, I do not know where to go next... I got only part of a clue...
As I stood on the ledge, wondering what to do.... a man approaches saying " What are you still doing here?"

Trent Yes this is the bridge… rhcponmercury Now there he is… Solas Thanks you for coming. rhcponmercury help us find hula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trent Someone kidnapped our friend Solas I'm here to help us get her back. Trent 'hmmm Solas They will stop at NOTHING to keep this thing from ever seeing the light of day. Look, they will be coming for me, so we can't stay long. Write that down. Now... for the crucial information. There is a cryptic message we have intercepted, between whom I do not know. Suddenly, I witness the death of Solas! ‘Hmm interesting! ha! I make my way up to the bridge again, and jump on a Bacio to go across... bad decision, cause of my lag issues....
3:15pm CST About 2/3 across I am overtaken by Aimee !! YAY !! She has found me!! We stop and talk, and I find out she found the answer to the telephone number clue! Hah! So, after being hit by some guy in a buggy... trying to push us off the bridge! (Helper-julian) we make it to the bright red phone booth at the end of the bridge. I make the call. (Click to hear the phone call!) Aimee told me the final number needed is '9!'
System Noddy has been added to the conversation. Noddy Look I don't want any trouble. Your guys have already told me to keep my mouth shut. Who are you guys anyway? Look, I don't know anything isalyna I was told to meet you here Noddy Look I don't know anything except that two guys were talking about Hula. They took her or something. All I heard is that they were to stop at some place to pick up some chemicals or something. They said something about trying to make her talk one way or another. They said that the only way to get to where they are going is to get there by hover boat. They headed towards that old abandoned light house to wait for some kind of hover boat captain. They also said that to get the boat captain to take them, they have to say a code phrase. I'm not joking, they are supposed to tell the boat captain 'Boy I sure could use some water to wash down these pretzels' … That is all I know isalyna :) Noddy :) isalyna ok isalyna ty Noddy :) System Noddy has left the conversation.
Aimee gets out her boat, and we make our way to the burnt out lighthouse . there we see... a man standing by the lighthouse... named Bedicus.

4:30pm CST No one is in the house, which is set up like a LAB of sorts; chemicals, etc. Aimee relays the last message to me.
AimeeAilene ok, well here is what she said, exactly. Chagall: A few minutes ago 2 guys came by. One of them had a girl who from the looks of her looked very distressed. One of the guys demanded that I give him a certain chemical. Chagall: I refused but they pulled out paintball guns and.. well what was I to do. I had to give into their wishes and release the chemical to them. The chemical is called Tyrion Liquid. Chagall: It is a drug that is often used as a truth serum. After I gave them what they wanted they both stormed out of here with a briefcase and the girl in tow. I don’t know what is going on around here. All Hula kept saying was that it would never work. People will never believe that There is a real place and they would never be able to comp complete their plan of 'whatever' taking over the world....
AimeeAilene Oh yeah I forgot. Chagall: They said they were off to meet someone... said they were headed toward the Grey Lady Pub at Pier 41. Wherever that is... maybe you should head there...
Aimee summons me to the next place. The docks where we look for the Grey Lady Pub. We find it... and enter... still no one there... we IM Icedoll. she summons us to the Aloha party funzone entrance... and informs us it is over.

Epilogue Icedoll does take pity on us and helps us out, by showing us the next clues. So, we proceed....
We find a briefcase under the pier. We clicked open the briefcase and found a puzzle, that turned out to be a map of sorts, along with the other contents. We didn’t go there... since there would have been an actor there... to tell us to proceed to the next clue spot.... So, on to the Programmer's house. where we find our next clue in the laptop
We need to find the SAFE house...
The laptop hints us to look at an issue of Life in There... where I find the LOGO I saw on the T-shirts of some avies at the aloha party... I read the story.
After finding the Safe house in TYR... (received a nice link from a very dear friend... hey... that's you, Rose!" )
We entered the house... and
before us... sitting in a cage was HULA !! WE found her!! I see a paint gun
on the floor, but just as I approach it, in thru the door come Cassiopeia
and Bedicus. They congratulate us for finding Hula. I explain how it all got
off kilter for us, cause of my stupid puter probs. They
say, we missed the chance to shoot at the kidnappers... heh... '''drat!!
But, overall, we had a good time... apart from the lag issues... We would be
