SPACE NEEDLE FINDS ITS HOME

So what happens when two completely different top stories now have something in common? You get one more top story;) 

This week we featured the Space Needle and the design team of Bootay and Carcus who brought this magnificent structure into There.  Staff writer Archie also did a story on Deep Space 999,999 moving.  So what’s the connection?  I’m getting to it :)  On Thursday one Space Needle was released in auctions.  With only a limited amount being released this was one hot item and the bidding was fast and furious.  The auction ended last night with the likes of bidding that even EBAY hasn’t seen.  Many Therians watched that auction to the last second.  I personally was with a group of auction watchers observing the bidding war.  With minutes to go Linwood and DocD battled it out with Tbucks.   DocD prevailed as the victor and is now the proud owner of one of the limited edition Space Needles for a mere $260K (And to think I bitched about an 8k mini skirt).   

So where is the needle now?  Deep Space 999,999 of course.  The needle now stands at the highest point of there.  Because the top of the space needle is over 1 million meters...you can't save it as a favorite and cannot summon anyone there....you will have to go up the elevator from below or hoverpack into it.  To see the Space Needle which is truly a Space Needle now, thank you DocD, teleport over to Deep Space 999,999  http://webapps.prod.there.com/goto/goto?obj=334784716

(Tip for elevator ride – Be sure to click right mouse button as you go up the elevator, it will accelerate your speed and will shoot out the top of the space needle and then land inside.)
