We will be conducting our next beta test on Monday, October 18th, from 4pm-7pm Pacific. Starting with this test, we will be making a number of changes to the way we handle the beta program…

1. We will be lifting the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) requirement for beta participation.

If you agreed to an NDA with us in the past, you are still bound by this and should not be talking about things that happened in previous beta tests. From this point on, however, you are free to have open discussions about the things that you see and do while testing.

2. We will be opening up the beta program so that more people can participate.

If you purchased a There membership prior to May 2004, chances are that you will be able to participate in our upcoming test. If interested, please download the beta client (we should have a link for you tomorrow) and see if you can log in during the testing period. Our eventual plan is to grant beta cluster access automatically to everyone when they reach the gold funpass level. Due to a couple of technical issues, we are not able to accomplish this right now. We will let you know when this changes.

Note: We will not be able to make special accommodations for anyone for this test. If you were not in the beta program previously and still cannot log in, you will not be able to participate this time. Please do not flood us with e-mail asking to be activated for the beta test. Chances are very good that you’ll be able to join us next time, though.

3. We will be wiping the current beta forums.

Due to the lifting of the NDA requirement and the expansion of the test population, we will be wiping the beta forums and starting fresh. We have made a backup of the forums internally. The new beta forums will be ready and activated shortly before the test begins.
