WHAT WILL MAB_FALL_2004 DO NOW.... REALLY

Last night Mab_Fall_2004 held their last official meeting.  This time we did things a little different and thanks to DocD and Oli we held it under the stars high above the world.  Being on MAB is an unique experience.  An experience every Therian should have.  Although we are sad to see it end we are very excited for the new MAB_Spring_2005 and look forward to the great things they will do.

Since Rick had a some fun last week with his predications, I thought I would ask the group if they wanted to say a little something.

My plans after MAB... Red PAZ Rising is sure to be a hit since it will feature many avs burning their bras in Banshee_Kate's fires...I have been informed that our avs will take our places at the RL Gathering in September, and we will be in the computer ...I figure they will fit nicely in my laptop's suitcase, so there is no need for hotel reservations...as for the teeny boppers, they will finally convince me how hot Orlando and Justin are! By the way...who are they? LOL  Advil will make a fortune...Got to teach those butterflies to stop biting my PAZ visitors...And also, I have just got to develop that invisible clothing line :)

On the more serious side:  My plans are to create more and more designs for people to either drool over, or shoot darts at...I think I will take a break with my friend, and go haunt the There staff sometime soon (I think we will kidnap Sonny)..I plan to finish putting together another book called, "Drama Kings and Queens of There"...no not really...LOL...I can't wait to see what we can do with the RL Gathering (better be watching the news on this one)...Most of all, I will be in world more often during the day to get better acquainted with my new day time friends...And I really am going to finish another book, and it will be on a surprise subject that everyone will enjoy (I hope)...I may do it as a downloadable book...I also plan to spend more time with my family in rl, and get out of the house more...Also this is a good opportunity to thank those who have supported my designs by buying and wearing them...Thank You...You have made my dreams come true.

DocD

I will be continuing to do what I have done for the vast majority of my RL.  That is trying my best to enjoy life and helping as many people as I can along the way.  I have found no greater joy in my life than helping others, doing so in the ture spirit of aloha, never expecting anything in return but the greatest gift God has given us, a smile of pure joy.  Along with that, I will continue to bike and to try to keep buggy bashing events in There alive and well!  As I have said to many people in There, the outpouring of concern Therians have shown to me about my RL endeavor has really reminded me how much this place is home and you are all my family and friends! It makes a persons heart feel welcomed and loved. Thank you all for that!

Life after MAB Fall 2004, Well let's see how short I can make this. My goal before MAB was to work on promoting the Event sector of There. I intend to pick up where I left off and see if this section of There can become an economic factor. I believe that if we can get some paid events going that people will pay if they are good quality events. If this works then this section of the economy as it develops can create badly needed jobs in our community. That's my serious goal plus operating my Gondor Fun Zone. There is also a good chance that I might buy a buggy or 2 or 3 plus my new passion custom hover boats. All in all I want to have fun in There playing with all the cool toys and visiting with my good friends as well as making new ones. Amxscott  :)

A couple of years ago, I bought my very own place and have been wanting to do some remodeling to it for awhile now. So after my MAB term I'm looking forward to spending time remodeling and redecorating my condo. It can happen if "Surprise by Design" or "Trading Spaces' is your idea of good use of TV time, lol. Anyway, I've begun the process but haven't had the time to give it my full attention so I'm looking forward to spending alot of my time doing that pretty soon here.

As for my There life post MAB, I will:

1) Chase Droopy around nagging him to fix my pants.

2) Hiding under the MAB Clubhouse and paintgunning the first avie I see that puts another dang poo bag on the stairs.

3) Set up a lobster trap inside the MAB Clubhouse to trap the elusive MAB arsonist. Then I will immediately alert a Voice reporter there's a hot breaking news story for them.

4) Stand in the middle of Karuna Plaza handing out milk and cookies and telling any helpless newcomer about "Those were the days when I used to be on the MAB and......"

5) Leave a weekly trail of M&M's around Duda Beach and tell amxscott about it.

6) IM Meret just to say "boo!" and then immediately close out the IM.

I'm busy getting ready for my retirement! I sold off the Hot Dog Lab Clubhouse and have moved to my favorite spot on There - Tabu Meadow - to live out my twilight years peacefully. I'll still be leaping off the 13th floor, hoverpacking around Saja and dropping all of my rides in Zephyr when I log out for the night.  In seriousness, I'm hoping I can get a few friends who have drifted off to come back to There for a few hours a week.

The last 6 months have really flown quickly by for me. When I started I thought I had an idea of how the mab would impact my time..but what I never imagined was how it would impact me as a person. It has been one of the most challenging and rewarding things that I have ever done, and something that I will always look back on with pride and thankfulness.  I have had the opportunity to see first hand much of the hard work that goes into this community, and I had the fantastic opportunity to serve with awesome fellow members-many of whom I really didn't know very well before it all started.

Having experienced so much together, and having worked with them so closely I feel fortunate to have been able to spend the past six months serving with them.  I will miss working with you all and we have a bond that is truly irreplaceable. I love you all.

With the term behind me I am really looking forward to many things. I have been working on learning the developer program for sometime, but it has always been an on/off process and now that I will have more time, I am really looking forward to finally getting serious about it. I also am looking forward to writing for various fan sites, and finally updating my own :P.  I am really excited about the new Spring 2005 MAB group coming in to serve the community.  I will always be willing to offer them any support and encouragement that I can, but I am also absolutely sure that they will step into the mab role well-and represent the community well. This community has so many great, great leaders!

Nep said at our last meeting, that "we are mab for a term-but a Therian for life" and I can't think of any better way to express how I feel as well. Serving has been an honor, but the greatest joy has-and will continue to be as a member of this really incredible community.  I am definitely not going anywhere :)~even after all this time I am still having a blast:) ~see you all in THERE:)!~Celtic

I'm busier than ever working with the great team that puts on the TABR buggy races. Retirement? Not just yet. :)

As for me,  I've been involved with There newspapers since beta and started this one in August of 04.  I am looking forward to celebrating our one year anniversary and having fun.  Now I will have more time to devote to The Voice and designing.  I would like to see more big social events in There and will be working on getting that done.  I'm pretty sure my hands will be full keeping an eye on Rick_Slick.  That in itself is a full time job ;)

Thank you everyone from MAB_Fall_2004
Congrats to the New MAB!!!
