The Playmates Are Back and There’s Got ‘Em!

When a pair of entrepreneurial, energetic and exceptionally talented avies named RavenLynn and RavenTresses founded the Devil’s Playmates on January 1, 2004, little did they realize the effect it would have on their lives, and the lives of Therians all over the community.

“The Spirit of the Devil’s Playmate is a woman not ashamed of her hunger to embrace passion...”

This mission statement, is what RavenLynn and RavenTresses believe is the foundation of their club, the Devil’s Playmates, and what motivates it, AND them! Ask RavenLynn to elaborate and she’ll tell you, “it’s just basically the girl whose not afraid to go after something she wants full throttle.”

My introduction into the Devil’s Playmates began with my very special and highly sought-after invitation to join the club! …

“Dear Rose_Blossom,

You have been invited to join a group: Devil’s Playmates”

I hesitated all about 3 nanoseconds before accepting the invitation. Then, I proceeded to conduct some research by visiting my usual research references; the auctions, the club home pages, the profile pages and, if they apply, any pertinent websites…

After doing my homework, I decided it was time to head over to…where else, but the Devil’s Playmate’s Compound! This place is everything that you could imagine, and more. There’s the office headquarters, where Rick_Slick spends most of his time behind a desk…there’s the photo-shoot deck, where Rick_Slick spends most of his time behind the camera… and then there’s Raven and Rick’s World where Rick_Slick spends most of his time…. well, all-righty then!...nvm…

The forthcoming endeavors that this club has planned for Therian society are amazing. It’s guaranteed, they will cause a large crowd to hoard at each and every one. But we at the Voice, are gonna hook you up, so that you don’t miss a thing! Pay close attention and don’t worry about taking notes…we’ll give you all the information you need, including links!

First, you should meet the two lovely avies responsible for all the upcoming excitement and hear their fascinating story of how they met, and what they wish to bring to you, the citizens of There!

“The Playmates were created as a spin off from the Red Devils,” RavenLynn says. “A griefer group during Beta. We were just a bunch of friends that got together for parties and whatnot and it grew from there.”

Okay, okay…I know what you’re thinking. The Red Devils were not a griefer group in the sense of the word YOU may be familiar with. The only griefing that this group did was gathering groups of avies together and searching out where the action was! No bashing, no trashing, no antagonizing, no dropping illegal props….just pure, unadulterated plain old fun. “Basically we did things like have events where we would bombard Zephyr and come in big groups in vampire hoverboats with paintguns”

RavenTresses and RavenLynn (or, RT and RL, as their *ahem!* close friends call them) have been best friends since beta, and the formation of Red Devils. One night, while hanging out with friends, they were in their house that was decorated like a club, just having some fun dancing up on the tables. “We need a club for girls,” RL said, and POOF ---the Devil’s Playmates were born! “We'd all dress alike and dance on the stage …after awhile we had girls IM’ing us wanting to join the club. It was funny it just kinda grew and grew!”

Then, in March, came the release of the signature Playmate portraits, and that’s when the club exploded and is still doing that today. The club boasts about 70 members. The Devil’s Playmates is made up of women, but that’s not to say that the gentlemen can’t join also. However, for the sake of organizing certain events, and also Playmate portraits and calendar pictures (yes…you heard me…But more on that later!), the group was separated into 2 groups…The Devil’s Playmates and the Devil’s Playmate Groupies (for the guys). All in all, it’s a great time.

Rick_Slick: At this point, I would like to point out that RavenTresses the only one in the interview with her camera in Body Mirror mode.

Enter Rick_Slick, the Manager Extraordinaire, (Yes, the same Rick_Slick who writes the Blue Nose Files for The Voice!) Rick takes care of bookings, the playmate portrait and calendar shoots, and in-general, is the idea man behind all the …well, …ideas! Don’t be mistaken, RL, and especially RT, would be absolutely lost without him.

· Announcing the REAL LIFE Devil’s Playmate’s Official Club Merchandise.

RavenTresses: Currently, we have cute track suits, coffee mugs, sexy cami's, and thongs among other items available with various Playmate designs printed on them. We are adding new items everyday and new designs. We are really excited about this new venture and hope that it will take off as well as we expect.

RavenLynn: We are at 0 dolla.

RavenTresses: All proceeds from the sale of the merchandise will go towards event expenses, submission fees, and PAZ rentals. However, at this point, RL and I want all these items for ourselves, so we aren’t really making a lot of money as of yet!

The Famous Playmate Portraits have returned! And we’ve got your sneak peek to the first ones! After a 7 month hiatus, RavenLynn is back, big time, using her fine art skills to bring you the best playmate pictures yet! Here is just a couple samples of what’s coming to whet your appetite…

“The new portraits, like the Playmates, are being totally revamped.” Says RavenLynn. “They'll have a newer look, be more classy, and center mostly around the playmate members. The playmates have grown since the very first portrait we released and we'd like to reflect that in our new portraits as well. Unfortunately, there will not be any commissions available this time around -- our full attention is being centered on the Playmates and bringing some spark back into There.

The Devil’s Playmate Calendar - When I asked RavenLynn about the calendar, she said, “The Playmate calendar will feature the Playmates using (my) RavenLynn's artwork. The calendar is not commissioned by There and is still in the creative/development phase. But we are very excited about it as it is a new endeavor that will bring the Playmates into real life.” Then RavenTresses added, “And a calendar has like all of the months and days on it, and is how you keep track of all your hair appointments!”

The Voice was granted the very special honor of giving you a sneak peak at the very first Devil’s Playmate Calendar Centerfold, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

When asked about the revival of the club, the Darlin’ Devils had this to say, “Basically, we're looking forward to taking ideas we've been tossing around for a long time and bringing them into There.” said RavenTresses.

RavenLynn adds, “The Playmates have been on extended vacation and are ready to come home and start shaking things back up again in only the way we can! MMM.. don't you just love it when you get to drag something old back up and shake it around and make it all new again... Devil Playmates are back in town baby.. are you ready?”

The Devil’s Playmates Auctions

The Devil’s Playmates clothing, home design, vehicle and sporting goods in Auctions. Eventually, you will find an entire selection of playwear and playgear to choose from.

Incidentally, there really IS a story behind the now-famous “Yearning, the Official Fwagwence of the Playmates” . (I guess I need to buy me a bottle now!) If you ever run into Rick_Slick, just be sure you tell him, “Rose_Blossom said you could tell me about Yearning!” *hehheh!
