HOBO HAVEN

Sick of waiting for house prices to come down to a reasonable price? Maybe 21k a month for a rent is draining your account.  Perhaps you just spent your last T on that 5K shirt auctions.   Time to get down to the laid-back life as these Therians do at Hobo Haven.   Get yourself a 10x10 and a card board box and enjoy the ocean breeze on the shores of Nada.

I heard about Hobo Haven often referred to as Bum Beach and after 2 days of searching the shorelines of There I found it.  What I found was a pleasant surprise.  A cluster of 10x10 pazzes, decorated in hobo style from cardboard boxes to camp fires, empty beer cans and beat up couches.  Parked near one of the pazzes was a police car.  Either the police department is not paying what they should be or the officer was out rousting the bums off the beach.  We may never know what had actually taken place. 

Assistant Editor NigelBlackthorne and myself had the pleasure of meeting with Aylana the leader of Hobo Haven.  She explained that she started her group named "Bum Lords" to foster the notion that even the homeless can be the lord of their own domain.  When the various bum lords of Hobo Haven come to hang out amongst the cardboard boxes, burning trash cans and other assorted refuse, they don their finest down and out duds and hang out.  Slummin is the operative term for these aficionados of the low life lifestyle.

If you get the chance stop on over it's a fun little paz community and something different to experience.  Kudos to Aylana and the Bum Lords!
