Hot Diggy Dog!

If you have been in world long enough, you probably have raced everything from a hoverpacks to a buggies, so what's left?  Well this very creative Therian, Malaena, gives you one more thing to race. Your best friend, the one who loves you like no other, your There puppy.  The name of the event is Doggie Derby and that is exactly what it is. Dog owners place their pixilated pups in their respective pens, the dogs are held there by a glass half wall where they wait, ready and eager to take off on their owner's command.  Owners stand behind the announcer and when given the go ahead they call their pups.  The glass gate is lifted and off they go.  First pup to reach its owner past the finish line wins.

Marcos are permitted and after much testing, levels do not make a difference.  I am an expert dog handler and Winston75 is avid and he beat me every time.  Does it matter what kind of dog you have?  Well I have three labs and raced each.  Molly my first dog that I have had since beta proved to be much quicker then old Floyd.  Floyd does have issues but that is another article.  Someone did race one of those wiener dogs but I didn't see those little legs going too fast.  Along with the set up of the Doggie Derby, there are places to sit and watch so you can enjoy a day at the races.

Malaena has thought of it all, from a beautiful setting to a fun time. And who said there are no more quality events?  You can join the Doggie Derby club for event announcements.  Malaena sent me this press release for the next event.

HOW TO RACE A "DOGGIE DERBY" STAKE RACE

There will be 7 STAKE Races up to the final "Derby Day". A STAKE race consists of 7 races per one Saturday event. Entry fee of 500t's is required.  (Saturdays beginning July 30th 8:30pm EST at Arenaria Frontierzone)

http://webapps.prod.there.com/funzone/funzone?op=view&id= 142975799

When you arrive at the frontier zone, you will be immediately added to our zone chat. Here is where you will be receiving instructions on when to LOAD your pup, when to GET READY and stand behind "Rusty", and when to start CALLING your pup. It will look like this (all caps will be used for announcements):

1. OWNERS PLS LOAD YOUR PUPS (proceed to your post position (gate#) and drop your pup inside the numbered slot.

2. OWNERS TO THE FINISH LINE (proceed to stand in direct alignment with your pup's gate behind our trusty rabbit "RUSTY").

3. PLS CALL YOUR PUP (begin calling your pup to 'come, heel or whatever you feel makes your pup come to you as quickly as possible, and continue to call until they reach the finish line).

Once all pups are being called, I will lift the starting gate and LET THEM LOOSE hehe . . . until all dogs have reached their owner.

WINNER will be paid 1k and announced in the group chat and will proceed to the playground and can NOT race until the 7th RACE (at which time, all winners of all 6 races will compete in the 7th Race).

7th Race WINNER will then receive 5k and have his choice of Race #1 POST Position for next Saturday.

This process is continued for a series of 7 STAKE races (7 Saturdays). The last and final Saturday stake race will be our "Derby Day" and club email or club forum posts will be made.

Join us to LET THE DOGS OUT! every Saturday!

A good time to be had for sure and the puppies seem to have a good time too.  Also available are facilities for the doggies to play in when they are not racing.

See you at the races!
