Behind The 8 Seaters

When Sonblock was working on releasing the eight seaters he gathered up a team to help test.  Banshee_Kate was one member of that team and was kind enough to give me a little insight to what it was like during the testing and gave me a sneak peek of her creations. 

In Banshee_Kate’s own words - We used the heck out of the models that we built. The ones you see here are my final models, but most of them had to be redone in Gmax somehow, after we found out what didn't work, mainly due to problems with views. We had no idea what would happen with camera angles with the different types of 8 seaters we made, so we made a variety to find out.

We tested views, chat bubbles, avatar attention & putting groups together in different formations. We didn't give up on the chat bubble problem. We kept at it until one night, it finally worked, even after we had practically given up! We were so excited that night. We knew how important that was going to be to people. Sonny says there is still a limit of, 20 avatars, but that is a huge improvement over what we had to do before.  People who host meetings, in either chat bubbles, or voice or both, will be able to use combinations now of all the cool 8 seaters with way fewer drops!

Sonny worked the hardest. He put in many overtime hours on this project, and we all owe him a LOT of thanks.
