PARADE OF CHAMPIONS

Our community has a few events that have honorably become grand traditions over the years.  One of those events is the Championship Races signifying the end of another season for T.A.B.R. (There Association of Buggy Racers).   

 

The competition last Friday night was no disappointment.  In fact, it even got my computer hot and bothered!  So much so, it totally passed out! (grrrrrrr!) RIGHT BEFORE THE 3^RD and final race!!!  Fortunately, I was not all alone and my good friend and co-worker, Hatch (Avatar and Driver author) was there to offer a helping hand (Thank you, Hatch *blowkiss!*) 

The winner’s for each of the divisions are as follows:

I talked to Zotty, who is a member of the T.A.B.R. board of directors, AND also the 2^nd place winner in the Semi Pro Division! (Congrats, Girl!)  She agreed to answer a few questions about this very special buggy racing event, and make an announcement about the upcoming new season. 

Rosey, the Nosey Newsgal:  Hey Zotty, who are the primary organizers responsible for hosting your big event?  

Zotty, Gal Racer:  TABR is organized by the TABR board, in affiliation with the race teams in There. Mari_j has recently taken over TABR and most of the rules and regulations have changed, to make it more “friendly” for all drivers. There is also a board for TABR who decides on where and when the events will be held.    (Contact Zotty for a copy of the TABR Rules and Regs)  The TABR board consists of Mari_j, Zotty, Jason_uru, & Trent. But Madcap Motorway has been a huge sponsor for letting us hold so many events in their zone.   

Rosey, the Nosey Newsgal:  What are the prizes for the winners?  (Buggies? TBux?) 

Zotty, Gal Racer:  For the finals, the races will win both T-bux’s along with trophies, and possibly a buggy depending on what place they finished at.  The complete scores are tallied up at the end of the season and are announced at the award ceremony.

 

Rosey, the Nosey Newsgal:   When is the awards celebration? 

Zotty, Gal Racer:  There should be an award ceremony sometime in the next week or so.  

Rosey, the Nosey Newsgal:  When does the news season start? 

Zotty, Gal Racer:  I believe the new season will start in about 2 weeks to a month. As this season comes to its end, we will start “spreading the word” in the There communities  (and in the Voice as well!) about TABR and get people to sign up for next season.
