Neighborhoods Hit There By NigelBlackthorne After the troublesome and controversial introduction of a number of neighborhood zones, owners and renters are now settling into their new environs. The original neighborhood was bought in auctions for T400,000 by RoxetteUsa. It is a fixed location on New Kansas Island and with it’s 100 acre size, 1000 drop limit and T360,000 monthly rent, was the neighborhood that There had originally envisioned. After member input however,
There decided to release two half-neighborhoods with half the size, half
the drops and half the rent. The two auctions for these zones concluded
this past week, bringing at auction T850,500 and the second bringing
T651,500. The auction prices of these zones sent shock waves through
the community and left many wondering if only the very rich will be able
to take advantage of this new way of securing a little piece of There.
These half neighborhoods included the opportunity to place them where
the owner desired and two months of rent prepaid. Both are options that
were not available to the owner of the first neighborhood and which
partially explains the reason for the jump in auction prices that they
brought over the price of the original neighborhood. In another controversial move, There has moved the Karuna Gardens Development from its original location behind Karuna Plaza to a location in front of the popular meeting place. The relocation of the development has resulted in a number of angry forum posts from long time paz owners in that area. Some say they were asked to move, some say their pazes went back into their inventory without notice. There has stated they did not remove any pazes when Karuna Gardens was placed and are now looking into what happened to the missing pazes. When Karuna Gardens was visited on Sunday, there were no signs of any of the lots being utilized. So, despite the rather rocky start to what There envisions as the next big thing, namely “real estate”, those involved have located their neighborhoods and have started to rent out lots and have started building. David_E_MD, the owner of the second half neighborhood has located his neighborhood at the end of a plateau in north-eastern Motu Motu. He has already rented out the majority of the lots and is fast approaching the break even point for making the neighborhood rent. Laid out over the neighborhood are a number of nicely decorated pazzes in what is being called the “Ladybug Mountain Residential Community”.
excuisite (aka xqizit) chose to locate his neighborhood on a large island off the north-eastern coast of New Kansas. His vision is perhaps different than most, he has no intention of renting out any of the lots and is instead using the neighborhood for whatever he wishes. According to xqizit, “It’s just an organic progression for a builder these naz (his name for a neighborhood zone) are a builders dream… I am likely to do many things with this.” Scattered about hilly Exquisite Island are a number of buildings, including a BC Space Needle and a building reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower built by JinxTV.
RoxetteUsa, who purchased the first and only full neighborhood zone has struggled to rent out enough lots to make the rent and has endured the many bugs of basically beta testing something brand new. His neighborhood, located on the uneven plains of New Kansas contains a mix of scattered pazzes and a neighborhood center consisting of two towers and a waterfall.
The leaders of a number of long standing There communities have been conspicuously absent from the rollout of the neighborhoods. Numerous forum posts have indicated that a number of them are less than enthusiastic with the price and functionality of the neighborhoods. For now neighborhoods are only being released through auctions, they have also explained that this is only the first in a number of versions of “real estate”. |
