Mission Slightly Difficult Sneak
Peak

The real life gathering at
There headquarters in San Mateo had many
highlights for me, one in particular was the screening of the sneak peak
for Mission Slightly Difficult. I had been involved in a few minor
parts during the shooting so I had particular interest in the project…a
joint project of writer Rick_Slick, There filmmaker Francis_7,
Disky and the rest of the Miracle Pictures group. Shot almost a
year ago, the long anticipated feature length movie, filmed entirely in
There is still being edited but the sneak peak revealed to the attending
audience just what a treat is in store when the final cut is ready.
One
of the conference rooms at There headquarters was set up for the
screening. Francis_7 first showed a version of Brock Lee that
his students had participated in making at the school where he teaches.
It was followed by the half hour or so sneak peak at Mission Slightly
Difficult presented in full screen DVD format. The audience reaction
was amazing…the eruptions of laughter and awe at the quality of the
movie and the awesome special effects. I can’t say enough about how
much the crowd enjoyed the sneak peak, in particular the many There
staff members who were there. The blue-nose humor of Rick was in
evidence throughout the clip and the filmmaking talents of Francis
combined to show that the final cut of MSD is likely to be light-years
ahead of previous efforts in There filmmaking.
According
to Francis_7, the editing of the movie is continuing although
there was no set date for its release. He indicated that the movie may
be the first feature length movie made entirely in a virtual world…his
estimate is that it might be as long as an hour and 45 minutes. At the
end of the screening he passed out DVD copies of the sneak peek in DVD
cases which were very cleverly labeled…as good as you would find in your
local video rental store.
All in all it was a great
success and one of the many highlights of the real life gathering. We
will keep you all informed on the progress of the movie and its much
anticipated premiere.
