The Tactile Explorer #1, 2005

Exploring There is more than just teleporting from point to point. One of the coolest things is we really travel in a world with virtual physical continuity. Come explore the dark corners and vast open plains. 

There’s jungles are rich with small discoveries. I still find new things even after being here since summer of ’03. I love when the fog envelopes me and makes me feel lost. Ootay has some of my favorite places which are like the name of the old Pink Floyd album; Obscured by Clouds. 

Not all clouds are the same in There. The fogginess near “Maidenflight” has a greenish cast, and still allows for some visibility.  

Near by is the thick stuff that will stop you in your tracks. If you want privacy, build a PAZ in this area, no one will be able to find you here. When flying in by hoverboat, you can see from distance, but then suddenly, visual contact is zero. This is seriously thick “pea soup” better slow down! 

Finally on the ground below near Monkey Head, walk up the hill and find some very interesting sights and matching moods. The foggy lighting  is mysterious, and you’ll feel like your in some foreign landscape. Finding a house with a light on is some major re-assurance. 

The “camp fires” are a comforting place to rest and have a nice chat as well. Maybe someday I’ll be able to hold a marshmallow over the fire.
