Wedding Bell Bliss!

You met your special Therian.  There is love in the air and your There future on your mind.  The day comes along when your special someone says, “Let’s build a paz in the ‘hood together! Will you There marry me?”  Under the Tyrian stars, perched on a glowing crystal, you seal the dream promise with a kiss, and hug each other tight.   …Oh wait, we don’t have that yet.

Now the time comes to decide the details… the who will attend, what will you wear, when will the Big Day be, where you will say “I Do!” and WHY did you agree to have the wedding of the century when you don’t know the first thing about how to go about planning it!?!?  *panic!*

Hold your buggies, and listen to this good news!  There is someone who can help you with ALL those details!  Someone that will deal with all the participants, the DJ, the photographer, the baker, the gown designer, and the flower arranger… even the babysitter for the little flower girl.      …Oh wait, we don’t have them yet either.   

The next time you’re planning YOUR wedding in There, you should let xxakasha67xx take all the worries and wigging out off your hands!  This talented lady has designed, not only the perfect surrounding and backdrop for your luxuriously lavish affair, OR perhaps you prefer a more elegantly simple celebration, but she will also take care of ….  basically everything your hearts desire for your special day.   

I heard that xxakasha67xx (she prefers Akasha) was cornering the market with the dreamiest wedding day events in the community, and I asked her if she would give me an interview and let me find out just how much bang a couple would get for their buck!  She invited me to come to the little chapel where all the “Stress Free There Weddings” take place to tell me about her services!
 

When I first saw the beautiful Unicorn Valley Chapel where most of Akasha’s ceremonies take place, I was instantly amazed at how much the little chapel reminded me of another breathtaking chapel here in Southern California.  Wayfarer’s Chapel located on a hilltop over looking the beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes coastline has everything that Akasha’s chapel has, except the beautiful swans!  They’re even very alike looking from the inside out into the garden and pond.

 

“Akasha!” I exclaimed. “The chapel is gorgeous!  This must make an incredible setting for flowers, music and love!”

   

 

“Thank you, Videa.  Yes, I think it does too.” 

I asked Akasha why she decided to become “The Wedding Planner”.  

“The story about why I started it is really quite amusing.”  I made myself comfortable and listened as she fed the swans. “I have been married and divorced twice in real life.  At both my weddings, I was unable to organize what *I* wanted because certain people in my real life always liked to be the organizer… lol!  This chapel has given me a chance to make the perfect place and plan the perfect events that I wish I could have had when I got married.” 

 

“Akasha, I know the first thing on everybody’s mind will be, ‘fine, but can I afford that?’  What kind of budget should you plan on when planning a Stress Free There Wedding”? 

“Prices vary from 5,000 tbux just for the hire of chapel (with me not being there), to up to 30,000 tbux if they want me to organize the whole event including the cost for whoever will be performing the ceremony.  It is also a little extra if they want the YouTube movie and picture to have in game done.” 

“I organize many different sorts of weddings from traditional to unusual.  My charges vary depending on what the couple would like.  I can coordinate the whole wedding from sending out the invites, organizing guests, taking photos or video of the whole event and reception afterwards.” 

“I can also create a wedding photo for  the couple to have in game so they have a picture to remember the day with. I only charge the submission fee for that, which is at present 9500 tbux.  I usually take the photos and put them into a movie using Windows Movie Maker and either add my own music, or a song they might choose.  Then I upload it to YouTube so they can watch it afterwards and have a link to show their friends.” 

“I am open to everyone so people who don't have that kind of money can also approach me and we can work something out.” 

“I have noticed that there are marriages of two people who are obviously very young!  Do you have any thoughts about this?” I asked. 

“I won't allow people under 18 to be married in the chapel.  This is a personal choice as I am a mother of a 16 year old and wouldn't like to think he was getting married in a game when he isn't allowed to in real life.” 

“This sounds like a LOT of work!  How much advance notice do you need to do the entire enchilada, including all the extras?”   

“To give me at a minimum two weeks is great, but I have been able to pull a wedding together in less than a day if needed.” 

With all the different ceremonies she must have organized, and all the different avatars she’s met, I asked Akasha to describe some of her most memorable experiences. 

“I remember one time the groom didn't show up and no one could contact him.  The bride was so upset.  It turns out his whole computer system crashed and he couldn't contact anyone to tell them.” 

“I did this one wedding with loads of people! Trying to get them all to listen to me so that I could take photos was extremely difficult.  Someone kept laughing or making a funny noise to crack everyone up.”  Akasha shook her head.  “That must have been very frustrating,” I said. “Yes, but it was loads of fun going through the photos and putting a video together afterwards,” she giggled. 

“I think one of the most bizarre weddings was when two friends decided to get married as one of them was being stalked in game and thought it a good way to put the stalker off the track.  You know what?  It worked!” 

“Probably the most romantic ceremony was when a couple came to me who were so in love.  They wanted a wedding “NOW!”  It ended up being an on-the-spot wedding, put together very quickly.  But they were so in love it made it all so romantic.” 

“Now tell me a little bit about ‘Akasha’… you don’t spend ALL your time in There planning weddings, do you?” 

“Akasha is a mad vampire fan in There, and loves hanging out with her friends.  I am also an Island Guide *bow* as I enjoy helping new people learn about There and the fun stuff you can do.  I have been playing There since 2004. There is always something new and exciting to find and learn about.”
