There Summer
Games by Softlydreaming
I don't know why but it's exciting. The buzz in the air, the team spirit, the frustrating lag at the precise wrong moments, the name-tag competition, the hundreds of people trying to get in events. I feel like I'm really in the Olympics. Okay so I'm not a Chinese gymnast who trained for years on the verge of a gold medal but I got a t-shirt and a drink! Plus there was some amazing satisfaction when I won a game of hearts and got points for light blue. But it didn't start out so good, at first I couldn't get into anything, but after several attempts I made it into the overflow morning chat and actually got a hu call on! Then my obsession began I was determined I would get into these games no matter what. Next up Orangehairedboy summoned me for a light blue round-up while I was in a game of spades (at my own event) I asked the table if I could be excused for a few moments and accepted the summons. When I got there I realized I was 15 min early and asked them to re-summon me at the 5 minute point so I could go back to the card game and find someone to take my place.
Then I actually got into buggy races and was fast enough to do four before all the open im's in my screen blinded me and I accidentally went the wrong way and plowed into the crowd of avie's waiting for a turn and bodies went flying everywhere. Sorry people if it's any consolation my rating went down. I did an Avie jump and a buggy jump but the most fun was the Party in the Park.
The thrill of hitting and trapping There staff just can't be beat. Chasing Vash Community all in black, ramming into There Games and getting a thank you from Emma after freeing her from a trap really made my There games a memory I'll never forget. Just when I thought it couldn't be any better at the end of yet another morning chat it happened- I became an Athlete. Will I become a champion? More events to come so I must work hard... but now I know it's possible! |
