Colors are Us!
There Summer Games 2008 has started! Everyone's rooting up for their own team. I am in Pink Nametag Team, and have seen really great assets to the team when it comes to biking and boarding. 'tu. I wish our team the best of luck! But I think, it would be best if I just watch by the sidelines, than make a disaster and be booted out of Pink. Hey, I wouldn't want a colorless nametag!
To see that it brings a different
joy, As part of the There Games campaign, Island Guides are there to help new members join their own nametag team. Hence the boards with colorful nametags all over. It sounds so easy, but having to explain to a newly spawned member could really take a while. And I have been left many times without a warning by an impatient new member, telling me "Forget it!" as they couldn't get it easily. It takes a lot of patience to walk them through it. But it's an overwhelming feeling to see a new member happy being part of his/her team. A happy "thank you" is all worth it.
we could learn a lot from crayons some are sharp, some are pretty some are dull, while others bright some have weird names but they all have learned to live together in the same box.
While guiding in Fisher one There morning, I met a new member who was apparently so proud telling me that she joined her team - all by herself. That was a feat! I was, "Way to go! Congratulations!" I could tell she was so excited, as like me, it is also her first There Games. Her nametag is Olive. I am not really a profile checker, but for some reason, I checked hers. And lo and behold, she joined Pink. 'doh! I tried to tell her, but she ran away. |
