Two
friends match wits and reviews as they check out what THERE has to
offer....
And two of their good friends add some opinions this week too....

Coca-Cola
Mixer

Softly sweetly says:
You guys are such awesome friends!!! Ty for all your opinions...Coke
mixer seems like a great idea. I'll have to say I don't actually use
it and I don't know anyone who does but it really looks cute. It is a
nice small portable size and I love coke. In Africa when I was doing
volunteer work and walking long distances a coke really gave me the
strength to carry on...I love the brand! What do you think Jayy? ooooh
I love cherry coke!!!'TU

Jousts:
oh you're welcome Softly. You're
pretty awesome yourself haha. I gotta admit.. I never really used the
mixer before and one time I did at CC metro at the cantina there it
froze my There client. I didn't let this one time incident stop me
from trying it again.I may not use the
music mixer
but the potential is there for it to become a great tool for budding
DJ's and others. Hell if I can convince myself that I'm a great
singer... (ok you guys you can get up off the floor and stop laughing
now ) I'm absolutely positive that others will love it and enjoy
making their own mixes with the beats and everything else provided
within. Oh hey Softly.....I love the coke brand too although I'm more
of a Cherry Coke guy myself rofl.
So for the music mixer I give it a big

Our friend Percy Packs
a Punch:
Greetings and salutations....In
itself a good idea, especially since it is something that former
CokeStudios members have asked for, since it was a fairly 'big thing'
in CokeStudios. The execution however leaves a lot to be desired. At
first it was only accessible in KO lounge and such in CC Metro. Then
they came out with the 'portable' version. You'd think: cool! It did,
however, not make it so others could listen to your tunes. Instead it
was merely a portable way to access the mixer for yourself. Then they
decided to integrate the mixer into the client, basically making the
portable mixer a 2500T piece of furniture. It also still has small
problems, like it not being seamless in the mixes, so I'd say

Hey Jayy, Soft
and P... At first when I heard
about the mixer I got excited because I thought I could make my own
playlists of my favorite songs to play in world, probably through
those 2.5k little radios, but I ended up being very disappointed. You
must make your own music strings from given sound clips, which I have
to say I enjoy the electronic ones, as there are other genres for
people with other tastes. When your done with your music string, it
seems all you can do is play them back for yourself, not in world, or
put them on a CD. And those 2.5k radios, have no other point than to
link you to the mixer being brought up on your screen, but that link
is already listed under the 'activities' tab, making it simply a waste
of money. On top of all this, the mixer isn't exactly easy to work
with. Though
most of the sounds are nice, I have to give the coca-cola music mixer
a 'Doh
Props

Softly sweetly says:
Okay I'm not sure ....Percy has a
point....I hope the bugs are worked out. But I love the idea of
carrying flowers down the aisle if I ever have a There wedding. And I
love the designing possibilities. But Jayy make up your mind!!! So I
give props a

Hmmm. Sorry Soft mixed feelings
here....lol....Is it really necessary to have a giant red apple on
your head, Really people, think about it why it might seem hilarious
amongst yourself & your friends for a few minutes, I'm pretty certain
that even the most patient person in this virtual world would tire of
talking to an apple. Ok I'll admit there are some props I do like such
as the GV spiked accessory kit by Ceashure
that gives you a kill mohawk and
some spikes on your wrist and around your neck. The Angel wings are
also a fave of mine.... ok you lot can stop rolling your eyes right
now ROFL. Lets not forget the demon wings... no... they're not my
style more blackout haha. All that being said I think the props are a
good idea but perhaps not for right now. I love the ones I mentioned
but there are many others just don't belong on an avatar on there. In
what could possibly be a first here I'm giving a 'TU to the props I
mentioned and a 'DOH to the others.

Our
friend Percy Packs a Punch:
Although 'some' props are fairly
cool and fun, a lot of others make no sense and turn There into a
cheap ripoff of Second Life, especially since the props have obvious
problems. They were originally devised in vMTV, where they had the
same issues.. and rather than FIX the issues before bringing them into
There, they decided to just port them over, issues and all. (Wings
hanging off your butt, rather than be attached to your shoulders,
tails flipping around and looking like an 'appendage', rather than a
tail and ballgowns floating around your avatar and moving with a
delay, rather than looking like an actual worn item. I give props a

With the new availability of props,
it seems that There is adding more a wider variety of ways people can
express themselves, by the styles we wear to the creativity of the
designers being able to increase on here. However many of us have
noticed already that some of the props are being used to grief, namely
the demon and angel wings. But you have to think that, greifers are
going to grief, with or without the new things There has been adding
to the game. There are also some that have noticed after
holding/wearing some props for a good while that the props sit askew
on the avatars. Though putting the prop away then taking it back out
should fix it for at least a while. With all that said I feel that the
props are a welcomed addition to There, as things like glitches are
what make for a good laugh and convo lol, and get a

The MAB ( Member
Advisory Board)

Softly sweetly says:
Okay the MAB intrigues me. I love
the whole feedback idea. And Francis 7 who is on the Mab really was
helpful to answer my questions and concerns even when he was in a
meeting. plus this Mab board actually were pirates....Arrgh! So
members speaking up for us? I have to say

I agree with softly
this I have to say is a good idea.
Although it's a shame that MAB are not well known amongst the general
population of there, the idea in itself is a great one. Any group that
provides a platform for members ideas to be heard before Makena staff
is a good idea as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, it's shame that
sometimes things may go unheard but it's thanks to hard work of these
dedicated unpaid volunteers that us therians have a much better chance
of ideas for improving the game becoming a reality. In my opinion MAB
gets a huge

Our friend Percy Packs
a Punch:
The member advisory board has always
been a group of dedicated members that work for the betterment and
improvement of There. Even though Makena doesn't always seem to listen
or agree with them, they continue to bring issues and suggestions to
the company, no matter how frustrating it may be at times. Although
most people are unaware of their existence or have a warped idea of
what they do (they are unpaid volunteers and get no special treatment,
yet are slammed by people regularly), I give the MAB a double

A little while ago when i first
bought a coupe, I had been searching through auctions for a nice
paintjob for it, but i was upset that I could not trial any of them or
other accessories for them or muscle cars, or SUVs. I knew of a friend
of mine that was in MAB, who also happens to be a co-author of this
article (Percy), and decided to ask him about the issue. I was
surprised to find out that the topic had already been
brought up in MAB and they were working to make trialing accessories
for those vehicles possible with the next update. So MAB definitely
does help the public give feedback to There, and if any suggestions
are not followed through with then There definitely had a reason for
why they are unable. Makena may the rulers of this world, but they are
not god. They cant just do whatever they want with this place. They
are only humans with human means and a bunch of powerful computers lol.
So overall MAB gets a big

my book.
