Is There a Real Difference?

It occurred to me that there are similarities that cannot be overlooked between There life and real life.  The magnitude of this revelation was quite overwhelming I assure you. I’ve not been involved in any other form of interpersonal communication online and was quite surprised how fast I took to it. I was literally dragged kicking and screaming into There and before arriving vowed that I would open a vein before spending money to sit on a frickin’ computer.  But here I am. 

I tossed myself into a world of cartoons, buggies, building, and of-course pirates!  As other Therians, I suppose we gravitate towards our comfort zones much like our real lives. I’ve always been interested in motorcycles, go-carts, gardening and landscape. And as for pirates, well I’ve been fascinated with pirates since I can remember. I have a zippy little Carter two seat go-cart that hits about 38 miles per hour. It flips quite righteously if you drive it like you stole it! I drive a zippy ZMW in There. I ride a Harley Davidson in real life, yeehaa! We drive motorcycles in There. I have a great love of gardening and landscape, hence my gardens in There. For me coming into There was simply an extension of who I am in my everyday life. Can it be said the same for all of us? A fair question I believe. 

What are we here for? Is it building, gardening, friendships, perhaps love? I often ask myself this question while I run around chatting with folks, planning events and even when I find myself infatuated with this person or that one. Oh yes, infatuation with another happens quite often in There.  For me; There relationships are a very important element that can make our game a bit more interesting in a positive way or can seriously derail us, much like our real lives.  I observe relationships in There which evolve into various forms and shapes, it’s interesting to me.  Some create intimate relationships, spending time with our chosen gender in a loving, life like environment.  Building homes in communities, attending events sometimes becoming There married. <By the way, I’ve often wondered who divides the marital property when a Therian divorce takes place? Do we have Therian lawyers yet?> some people are happy wandering with friends, not really having the inclination to “hook up” in the couple’s life in There, but then it strikes!  A certain person comes along; the soft elocution in their voice makes us tingle all over.  Our Therian life is irrevocably changed.  It’s all quite relative to our real lives when simplified to its basic nature. 

Ah well, I guess we can all agree on one thing. There is a magnificent place to paint our pallet in landscape, create our version of perfection, meet new people we would not have the opportunity to meet, build communities whom share our similar interests or just hang with cool people. What ever reason you’re here, I’m glad you are.
