Voice In There

by Nyllone

I was barely a week old when I first noticed the lightning bolt up above someone’s head in Fisher.  I was then informed that it means that the person is talking.  It didn’t really bother me at all then, until Phonk (my exclusive IG)  took me to an event where he was invited.  The people there were mostly talking, and only a few bubbles floated and all it contained was “ROFL, ROFL, ROFL”.  I felt left out, that I actually left the event.  Awww, indeed.

I had no plans going prem.  I thought I just wanted to hang out and have fun.  But that event made me realize what a basic member is missing.  I kept it to myself though, and still tried to enjoy the “perks” of a basic.  It was fun, I thought.  I don’t need anything else.

"we have to accept that having the opportunity to speak doesn't always
give us the privilege to be understood."

One There morning, I woke up and found myself with that speaker icon on my nametag.  It was a gift (Giver’s identity undisclosed for that person’s wellbeing. 'winks.) that really made me ‘’’yay!  First time I heard people talking, I was OMG - noobishly ecstatic!

However, it took me a while before I was able to talk.  And even up to now, I still talk very little – and to close buds at that.  I thought we could better understand each other by typing, (doing without those “come again”, “can you repeat that?” and “pardon?”)  then again, hearing my buddies’ voices is a one special thing.  Maybe I am still too shy.  But who knows, one day I might join Thereian Idle and have a blast!  ‘''surprise.
