Shopping In There

by softlydreaming

I love fashion, I always have. As a little girl I liked to add accessories to every outfit. I loved the ribbons, the bows, all those sweet girlie things that gave an outfit flash, dazzle, or sparkle. I love strappy shoes and cute little dresses. I've always had a style of my own. My sisters admired it and tried to sneak to school with my clothes under their jackets. I also love thrift stores and unique pieces that have quality and detail. As a young woman I worked briefly as a style consultant through referrals and as I got older I was pleased to see younger ones really enjoy wearing my hand me down creations. So when I found out there were virtual malls in There I was enthralled.

But of course I had to figure out when I would have time to really explore, since I was spending a lot of time designing outfits (I now have 92 items in auctions and a few pending). My poor friends all try on and model my designs for me and they are so nice and sweet about it. But lately I've decided to put designing on hold and spend some time with my friends.

Percy and I agreed to explore the whole Village Market Place store by store. It was so much fun. I was fascinated by the detail and the amazing talent I saw. Ciao Bella Designs had a great layout -all the cut out models and beta mannequins it felt just like a real life store.

When we went into Elaur designs I saw the dress I always wanted since I first made my avie in There, a cute black and white mod Elizabeth dress to die for. I was so excited and to my shear pleasure, my great friend Percy searched the auctions and bought it for me! Then I got my picture taken in the dress in front of Elaur's design mural that featured it.

At the Village Market Place you can walk around in a loop to each store and end up where you started. So we checked out each and every place. I was impressed with the variety. We really admired the merchandise in Kortt's store. We laughed and took pics in the amazing real feel shower. It seems like the animated water is really splashing on you. Percy happens to have a Kortt designed bar in his popular (over one thousand members)  Spinning Spades Club and in the store we admired the same model that was showcased in a different color.

In DMC Motors and ZMW I felt like I was really in a dealership showroom and I just couldn't get over the dazzle and shine.

And at Salon Banshee the place had such a great upscale feel to it. Xedos was awesome specializing in floral and plant designs. BBoys was stunning and Pirate's Booty had great window dressing.

When we were almost finished looking at the stores a few of our friends joined us. For all of us this was our first visit to the marketplace. We were joined by Zayden, Jayyson, and  xX_Blackout_Xx. Everyone checked the place out then we all hung out. It was just like hanging out at the mall in real life it was so much fun. This inspired me to search through auctions of these talented designers and now I definitely recommend that everyone takes time to visit There malls and Marketplaces.
