Duda Beach

What exactly is the allure of Duda Beach? Many Thereians I believe have a love/hate relationship with the area. For me, spending time on Duda beach is like spending time in real life at tourist hotspots like Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco or Universal Studios in Los Angeles. Spend any length of time there and you get to see and meet all kinds of different people.  

You have seasoned Thereians who have been playing There for years and enjoy just hanging out with friends and chatting, or listening to music. You have who I call the “Green Goggle Brigade”. They're the ones who stand there for hours on end wanting people to believe that they're “AFK”. You know that they're are there sitting reading the text bubbles and listening to the conversations that are going on nearby. And last but certainly not least you have the Noobies. Duda beach, just wouldn't be the same without them. Everyday you can find them running around with such enthusiasm exploring everything there is to see. 

 

I'll be the first to admit. I have a love/hate relationship with Duda beach. At the moment I'd say it's an equal 50/50 split. It's a great place for meeting people. I've met my best friend xX_BlackIce_Xx there as well as several other cool people. I've been avie bashed across the beach and been behind the wheel of a wayward buggy that has run into avatars without their forcefields on. 

 

Duda is also a fun place to sit and watch that amazing thing called Noobie Love. We've all seen it at some point. Two noobs meet, they tell each other hi, ask how each other are doing, one will ask the other if they would like to make out, Blush, hearts & Kiss emotes surround their avatars and before you know it they're running off the the kissing booth down by Grizzly's to have their first “There Kiss”. All this usually takes place in just under a minute and as quick as it began it's over. The male noob, who having kissed his first girl on There, now considers himself a ladies man and will usually beeline to the nearest girl and repeat the process, quite often asking the previous girl he kissed to step out of the kissing booth so that he kiss his new girl. 

Spending large amounts of time on Duda Beach you do get to witness many weird yet often hilarious events. xX_BlackIce_Xx and I have often been standing on the recently erected coke sign when avatars will literally start falling from the sky. At first we were puzzled to see them. Many would hit the ground, get up and just run for their lives. Others would get up and ask what in the world just happened to them. You may be wondering about the falling avatars, and before you start thinking that some evil person behind the scenes has created a spawing place for noobs in the sky above duda beach, the avatars are actually falling from a sky diving paz way up in the skies above duda. When the paz is out I highly recommend taking a moment and relieve some tension by jumping off the Sky paz.

 

 Along with falling avatars Duda Beach is a hotspot for people to take out their buggies, coupes, muscle cars & SUV's and drive them around.. Many people love to hoverboard & ride their hoverbikes around Duda, however one of the funniest things I've seen are people whizzing by on on hoverbikes made to resemble wheelchairs & hospital beds. 

Despite having it's moments, Duda beach is a good place to kick back and hang  out with friends, make new ones, and watch the crazy things going. Stop by and say Hi if you see me there & Thanks to xX_BlackIce_Xx for contributing to this article.
