The Voice Spotlight: PERCY

by Softly Dreaming

This week I had the privilege of interviewing PERCY. There has many members young and old, it was great hearing from someone active in the community......

Softlydreaming: How long have you enjoyed There.com?

Percy: Greetings... I have been a member of There.com since October 12, 2003...which is one day BEFORE the official opening. Back then There wasn't open everyday. It was only open 6hrs per day for three or four days per week..

Softlydreaming: How did you hear about it/find it?

Percy: I was invited to the Beta by a friend called Seppie. Some interesting facts about early There history are on the website http://therehistory.wetpaint.com/ In the beginning we all hung out at the boneyard with a Internet DJ for zone radio, my first There Girlfriend who was an avatar named Hulababe. She took and played our song requests.

Softlydreaming:What do you love about There?

Percy: I love the community feeling. All the things you can do, the people you can meet from around the world. Like you 'smooch

Softlydreaming: What are some of the things you like to do in There?

Percy:  I love playing cards...just exploring...buggy driving and of course Island Guiding.

Softlydreaming: Tell us about your clubs.

Percy: Spinning Spades was founded on Christmas Eve December 24, 2006 and currently has 1160 plus members, with new ones joining almost everyday. Also a Blazing Tigers invite only buggy racing team that has custom buggies that I would like to make more active.

Softlydreaming: So how do you feel about being so active in There, such as serving on the Mab and being a Senior Island guide?

Percy:  I log in everyday and it just shows I care about the community and strive to make it better and make sure new members have the best experience they can have.

Softlydreaming: What would you tell someone who asked about there.com?

Percy:  I would tell them it's a virtual world that mimics the real world. But you don't have to eat or sleep or grow old or die. It's kind of like the Perfect Life.

Thank you PERCY for talking with me!
