Town Hall Meeting

Spending time in There is just like my real life. You can make close friends that you hang out with, you can host events or parties and attend them, you go to a prom and you drive around in you car. You can even have a dog. There are places to visit, you can even go to Egypt. And for those who have been to California or like to read Archie's adventures in There, you know you can find places in There just like the places you can find in real life. Many avatars find romance and make club houses and neighborhoods for their friends. Well one of the things that is so great in There is that you can even have a voice about the community just like you can in real life. Recently I had the amazing privilege to participate in a Town Hall Meeting. Being on the current Mab I was thrilled when I was invited not only to attend but to sit in the same room with CEO Mike Wilson and ask him questions given to us by members of the community. 

 

It was so nice to see fellow Mab members, and staff...and uh two Vash's. I must say I was a bit nervous and I actually arrived late because I was having trouble logging in and then getting into the event. But once I was there it was amazing. My fellow Mab members helped me get in and sweetly gave me the heads up to where we were in the agenda and what questions were already asked. I actually got to ask Mike several questions! We got to pick the questions we wanted to ask and tell Vash_Community in an IM if we were ready to ask a question. When I was chosen I stumbled at first...nervous because my voice was not working or maybe I was holding down the wrong button....some how I asked the question and it was cool. Then I was inspired...I looked through the question list and asked a question I really wanted to know the answer to. And when I asked Mr. Wilson the question, he commented that it was a good one and he really spent time on it and fully satisfied my curiosity. He made me look forward to what is new and exciting.

   

 New partnerships and ideas new things for my virtual world. I was in a daze marveling at the future of my on-line community. I was also struck by the fact that Mr. Wilson was so involved and enthusiastic, and that he was wearing a Stray Katz jacket. I have that jacket too, and I love dancing with them. Mike Wilson was one of us...this was his community his virtual world too. More Town hall meetings are coming up and we will all have a chance to speak out in our virtual world!
