Urban Jungle Cruise

 By Geea

Last night I went over to Lagoland to check out the Urban Jungle Cruise if you missed it you missed a really fun event.

Francis 7 and Disky always put their heart and souls into what ever they do and the Urban Jungle Cruise was no exception.  It had it all, the creation of buildings, props and costumes and most of all comic relief.

The Urban Jungle Cruise was a mixture of being on the Disney’s Jungle Cruise and being a cast member in one of Miracle Picture’s movies.

The beginning of the ride was a new building created by Francis_7 which looked exactly like you would see in any amusement park and very well done down to every detail and assuming signs.  The building itself made you feel like you were about to embark through the jungles with Francis dress in jungle attire as your tour guide.  He was very gracious and gave out instructions and warned the passengers on what to expect.  Some dos and don’ts were relayed, such as

No spanking pictures

Flash photography is allowed and if we figured out how to do that in There to please let him know. :)

Francis had created prop boats and there were dispensers there for you to either buy or try a boat prop to wear during the cruise.    The cruise started down an animated river on to the concert urban streets of Lagoland making stops along the way while Francis introduced points of interest.  At certain points of interest Disky was there dress in appropriate costumes and interacted with tour guide Francis.

We encounter some wild urban animals along the way

When we came to the crocodiles Francis thought he heard a clock ticking and then reminded us if we were doing a try me on the prop boats our 5 minutes may be up so we could purchase one from auctions if we would like.  A brilliant sales pitch if I may say so.

There were some wild monkeys with poo along the cruise but Francis explained to us what they were up to.

“The Urban jungle is full of monkeys but today’s monkeys are much like forum posters they like to fling poo.  Today they have 5, 10, or 50 pieces of poo to filing at you but as of July 1st they may have up to 100 poos to fling - thanks to there .com”

Along the cruise we stop in front of a store and Disky was then dressed as a noob asking for a free boat, money and or clothes.  :)

She quickly changed to a stick figure costume as Francis put her on iggy.  Now for old timers like myself I personally laughed my ass off on that one.  Because back in the day when you put someone on iggy you never saw their avatar again they would just appear as a stick figure if you ran into them again.  Ah those where the days.  I do miss the stick figures.  He even had a stick figure in front of the store. I hope those are for sale I would surely buy one.

We cruised by the movie theater where Disky being a major Miracle picture movie star clad with a ball and change fulfilled her contractual obligations and talked Lagoland up.  Francis and Disky never missed a beat with their humor throughout the tour.

Aside from the stick figures I got a big kick out of the Fun zones of the future.

According to Francis funzones will be made these sizes in order to fit more on a server and the rents will stay the same and the cost savings will be given back to the members.  That again had me giggling at my keyboard.  I also cracked up at the name of the model zone Broken Node.  Way to go Francis!

We toured the gym and the end of the Urban Jungle Cruise left you in the sewer system of Lagoland.  Yes you were actually standing in sewer water in a tunnel. :)

Francis never missed a beat as soon as my tour was over he was back at the beginning greeting the new tour goers and repeating he speech for another Urban Cruise.    Disky was in place in her costume and ready to go once again.

This really was a fun time and you can see how much time was put into this from the designs to the humor and the time they have taken out of their real lives to provide an interactive event for There.  Francis’ jokes were in his usual style and there were many jokes about the upcoming real estate changes which were pretty freaking funny.

Francis always goes all out.  He has been in There from the very beginning and There would not be the place it is if it weren’t for members like Francis_7 and Disky.

So if you missed this event you missed a good one.  Hopefully Francis and Disky will be doing more.

Two thumbs up for the Urban Cruise!!!!
