March Developer Showcase

Okay I might be ignorant but let's just say there's a lot of There that I have yet to explore. I love designing and I keep trying to think of ways to display my designs. I would love to have a virtual store someday but in the meantime I have two mannequins set up at my club house. So I should have noticed the developer group run by TheChaz right? Nope....my bf noticed in the forums the invite to the March Developers Showcase and gave me the link. So I decided to go just to check out the new designs.

 

I got there fairly early and heard Emma and NyteLyte (the hosts of the event) talking about signing the Kilroy to win door prizes and taking a brochure to see all the designers displayed. After I figured out what the Kilroy was lol, and Emma placed down more brochures I thought I was all set to enjoy the event. Then I decided to ask Emma a question. How can I display designs here? She immediately had me join the developers group and helped me to set up a display!

 

 

 

 I couldn't believe it I was so excited. So I took time to set up a showcase for my designs which are called Softly Designs Sponsored by the Bff club. I decided to display one of my best sellers There Boyfriend and There Girlfriend and jeans that I have made. So Percy and I put on the outfits and mirrored the mannequins. And to my surprise NyteLyte imm'ed me telling I was added to the event brochure and my auctions and There girlfriend were featured on her blog! Wow I was so excited... but as the event progressed they had quite a fashion show with clothes and props. 

 

People were talking about the red team prop...it really caught their attention. I had my eye on a bikini by Mikecesar which was one of the door prizes. I had never had a bathing suit in There and I always wanted one, so I was really hoping I'd win. I ended up running into Nyllone at the event it was so nice to talk with her. Unfortunately she had to leave before the prizes were given out.

I found out that once you join the developers group, you become a co-host at the event and set your designs up in the neighborhood for the event. Then you can be part of the fashion show yourself or have a model. At the end door prizes are given that are donated by the developers and this is held on the second Wednesday of each month. So I signed up for April.

Okay now what we are all waiting for - the prizes!!!! Emma read through the names and everyone was assigned a number. Now the first roll of the dice.......drum roll please.....number 10- softlydreaming. 'yay I won my bikini!!!!!
