There Television

Back in 2005 The Voice had the pleasure of interviewing Transporter about his new There TV Station. (see 2005 article www.therevoice.com/2005/sept/theretv.htm )  After a year in There Transporter took a break and return in September of 2008.  As a broadcasting major in real life Transporter wanted to combine his talent with his virtual life, hence, There Television.  While Transporter was gone another group created a different ThereTV site.  He is not associated with that ThereTv but has picked up where he left off revamping his website called There Television www.theretelevision.com.  

I asked Transporter about his return to There: 

Transporter - Well when I returned to There, I found myself with an outdated friends list, most people we're either gone or inactive. Since There TV helped me find and connect with people in the first place when it started in 2005, I thought that this would be a great way to meet people all over again. While doing something that I love, being able to meet great people, and now being able to help people with getting them out there and discovered, is truly something that I enjoy doing.

www.Theretelevision is a website dedicated to There which includes 5 channels to choice from: 

CH1-TV Guide, is like a news page where all the updates from There TV is placed.

CH2-Local Matters, discovers the people in game, and takes a look at what’s going on in there and really connects with the people of There.
 

CH3-Music Channel, I thought this would be a neat idea to have, just a channel that some people could just leave on and listen to music.
 

CH4-Shopping Channel, where new designers can be discovered, or even the most seasoned of designers can show their latest and greatest creations.
 

CH5-Radio Monitor, sometimes if you’re exploring in there, there isn't really a portable radio to bring with you, and if you wish to listen to music, this channel acts like a radio for your buggy if you would like to put it that way. It provides a list of Online Radio stations that streams right in the browser.

 

I ask transporter what his future plans were for There Television. 

Transporter- The Future of ThereTV is looking quite promising. Ever since the introduction of the Shopping Channel, ThereTV has been buzzing with activity that I could not believe! ThereTV will be staying on its current format with 5 channels, and as it gains material and content, in turn gaining viewers, which in the end result helps out everyone involved with ThereTV. What I've established for the style and feel for ThereTV, is that it can be considered as "Your Friendly Neighborhood Local TV Station". ThereTV is all about the people they feature and not the people who operate ThereTV. We aim to explore even further into the islands of There, and discovering new people, and bringing them into the light for the rest of the There World to see. So we do have quite the task ahead of us, but I do plan to take it one step at a time, and to just enjoy every minute of it as I have since I came back to There.
