Missing YOU in THERE...

Some people wonder why new neighborhoods like the ones off Aurora keep popping up in There when all the current ones are not filled up and are still available. Or become empty when avatars don't want to stay or they just move out. The simple reason is demand, avatars always are looking for something new. There is a huge place. It is as big as the real world and it will most likely never get all filled up. Just like the real world There is filled with a whole lot of people... actually new avatars everyday. And these people buy and rent neighborhoods and just like in the real world they live where they want and sometimes where they can afford.  They move in and out based on what they like, and who they like. Why are certain neighborhoods popular? Sometimes it's a great theme like Pirate's Keep, or sometimes it's great friends with a great idea like the Village Market Place. But just like real life avatars are still looking for the neighborhood that's just perfect for them.

 

Some long-time Theriens get nostalgic thinking of the neighborhoods they used to have and all the avatars who shared it with them. But just like the real world a lot has changed in There so fast. A lot of people have talked about having a memorial for Theriens we have lost. Of course to verify who is really gone would be almost impossible so what we need is a memorial for all those that we have lost and miss. And we must all vow not to forget them. Of course we can all make are own memorials and sometimes places are named after those we've lost. Sometimes we miss people because we just don't have the same schedule in There anymore (I miss you Devi) and sometimes they leave our virtual world.  

Actually there is a lot of avatars I miss. And just recently Softlydreaming's virtual heart has been broken. Softly fell in love in There and her virtual love is now temporarily without an Internet connection! Before real life time was slow and There life was so fast....now even There life goes slow. There is still much to do in There. Softlydreaming is an Island Guide and on the Mab which can keep her busy enough. And just like Rick_Slick says "Writing is Hard", the Voice is such a privilege.  It's amazing how much There life feels like real life with all it's ups and downs. 

Recently some people were wondering if we could recycle There names of old basic avatars and actually we can't. All these accounts are free and Makena tries to contact them at times to welcome them back to the fold and the islands of our virtual world. I wish there was a virtual there postcard we could send to those we miss...Also some would like to see people without multiple avatars or without the ability to make accounts for others. But that won't happen either. So whether you have one avatar or 200 your name is safe and unique...so in a way that is a memorial in itself. There will only be one Geea, softlydreaming, Thumdar and Percy. There can be only one michaelwilson and one TheChaz and yes only one spiritus. Now of course if someone wants to be softlydreaming1234 or XXXXThumdarXXXX that's a whole different thing.
