Pre-Prom VIP Dinner: A Fun-Filled Event

As posted on There Fun Times and The Voice, I have read about the Pre-Prom VIP Dinner a few days back.  It was a meet and greet event with There CEO Michael Wilson and Nick Pandolfi of SPIN Magazine.  When I got the event invite from Mackie, I was so thrilled that I signed up immediately.

The event started with “Meet and Greet” wherein SPIN Magazine’s Digital Edition Manager Nick Pandolfi talked about SPIN Magazine, his work, and he also answered random questions from the members.  After the Meet and Greet, we were then ushered to the Dance Lot where the StrayKatz danced a medley that matched with the Prom’s theme Fly Me to The Moon.  ClubOneRadio provided the awesome music for the show, with commercials from the designer sponsors.  Seeing how organized the group was, I could only imagine the amount of time they spent practicing to give us such impressive performance. 

         

The next number in the program was the Fashion Show done by There Top Models and hosted by BamaBabyDoll.  The designer sponsors showcased outfits fitted for the Prom, which were all gorgeously elegant!  They had signs on the sides of the runway that members get to check the designer sponsors’ auctions.  Aside from the outfits, one thing that caught my attention was Soede’s escort for the night, as she sashayed down the runway.  I was also tempted to get one myself, as my Ultimate Escort Phonk would be fast asleep the night of the Prom.  MW was quoted to call the prop as “The Man without a Face” that anyone who has that for an escort need not worry about it being unfaithful.

After the Fashion Show, I went to the Gift Lot to check the freebies for the said event.  And my oh my! I was in Freebie Heaven.  I guess the name of the place itself nailed it:  Gift Lot.  I ran around clicking the Item Dispensers one by one.  Seriously, I am beginning to call the item dispensers as Freebie Dispensers as I associate them with the Springtime Perks.

 

Loaded with treats in my inventory, I then went to check the Shutterbugs Lot where members get to have their pictures taken by the members of the There Shutterbugs group.  This was where StrayKatz group had their picture taken by Orielle.  They were later joined in by Nick Pandolfi and MW no less, for a photo-op.  MW danced his heart out with the group, wherein I noticed he tried to type ‘yayyay’ to do a backflip.  It took him a while to finally do the ‘‘‘yay emote.  After a while, he left the photo booth cum dance floor saying “My TIE is wrinkled now.”

I then headed to the hallway where members were chatting some more with MW, who gamely tried on some tops given to him by a member of StrayKatz group.  He tried on the tattoo, the leather jacket that looked good on him, but swiftly switched back to his suit and sneakers.  He, however showed us what Mackie made him wear one time, and he held a ballgown prop over his suit pants.  Screenshot of which I’m keeping.  I wouldn’t want to jeopardize his reputation…  Or should I say, my account.  ‘doh!  But honestly, as this is my first time to meet and greet MW, I think he’s one cool CEO.  Where else can you find a CEO willing to be shot at in his “Will He Stand Episodes” and wear a ballgown in front of everyone else? 

It was a fun-filled event that is packed with surprises and treats.  I went there expecting nothing but a “meet and greet event” but I ended up meeting new friends, getting some freebies, and having so much fun!  Virtual Prom 2009 will be tomorrow.  Hope to see you there! ‘wink.
