SOMETHING TO MARVEL AT!

This may well be the most marvelous and fantastic week to marvel at the wonders and phenomenal fun times of There. Just for starters, last week Melody_Copeland of Meldoinkle Designs introduced her The Fantastic Thing, modeled after the Marvel Comics creation and fine fun it is, indeed. Of course, this is totally unrelated to the most marvelous fantastic thing that is coming to There (yes, it’s coming; it’s coming). In fact, in just possibly 72 hours or less (depending when this column hits the front page) The Wild, Wild West will be leaving Tiki Central and traveling all over There bringing its non-stop fun and excitement to all Thereians.

This is the biggest event ever to take form in There. Like any true Hollywood epic it has taken, well, okay, months to make a reality. But months in There can be like all eternity! The entire cycle of events sprang to life one warm evening last June at the ZMW Buggy Museum. All it took was for ZachC to introduce his LTD Wild West buggy and xThor and I were hooked on an idea that seemed to take on a life of its own right from the start.  QE4’s, The Voice and KTHR’s Kitteee (my she does get around), took on the crucial job of event archivist. She brought to the The Wild, Wild West her lifelong love of all things western. When you finally see what the builders have done you will know at a glance how invaluable her advice and direction truly was.

Yes, it started small. Maybe it would be all over in a weekend. Then it expanded to possibly a week. Then There asked if it could just go all out and take over October. Okay, why not? The Mega Event has come to There!

Everyday we saw our ideas get bigger and grander. A new group Epic Event Productions led by xThor was formed (needed to be formed actually) to help manage the design end of this huge undertaking. Epic Events or EEP (as it is affectionately called) has been the backbone of this event. XThor brought together, in one group, some of the most exhilarating talent that There has ever known. These amazing people sacrificed their own personal agendas to help put together the fashion and physical look of the old west for all of us to marvel at (yes, THERE”S that word again). You have all seen the fashion by The Magnificent Seven (led by Dreamweaver). You have only been given a taste of the builder objects that are slowly filtering into auctions for you to play puzzle PAZ with. Just wait! Oh, darn, that’s all you’ve been doing! Sorry! This Friday the historic town of Hula Gulch will be unveiled for all of There, restored and ready to rumble at the opening ceremonies for The Wild, Wild West. You will be amazed and astounded by the sight of the building team’s genius.

Just as a sneak peak, and a bit of a tease, I am including a picture of the magnificent saloon that Jinx_tv designed for the event. Also, here is a look at the incredibly detailed blacksmith and livery stables designed by B-C Designs (CarCus and Bootay). Now you can see what is about to take the There world by storm. Phedre’s hats off to The Magnificent Marvels, the miracle making builder team of The Wild, Wild West!

From the very start The Triangle Gurrls Clubs (TGC) were on board with head honcho Karythe taking on the difficult job of managing the massive amount of themed events that were to be planned. Well, Karythe and her generous events hosts should be one happy and proud family right now. They have orchestrated an incredible fun filled two weeks of almost constant mayhem and merriment for all you gunslingers out There. The schedule is up and running and available for all to see in The Voice (it is updated daily as all the events are being converted to URL). Just follow this link and you will be able to book yourself into any event you want without fuss or bother: http://www.therevoice.com/pressrelease/wwhere.htm

Last Friday night QE4 had a chance to salute TWWW once again. Our Becca Boobenheim Museum of There Art opened and incredible exhibition featuring the official art commissioned for the upcoming event. You really should get on over and have a few minutes of There culture before gassing up your buggies and refilling your paint guns. Here’s the link to see all the wonderful work of SAVORY, KatieJo, TollerMike and the breathtaking original portraits by RavenLynn (guess which one is mine?): Becca Boobenheim Museum of There Art

Halloween came a bit early to There this year. Nacho Sarn hosted a wonderful Nacho Masquerade in the Fortress Rumbelly on Nacho Island., The old fortress was decorated grandly in the great Halloween tradition. The lovely Malika won first prize for her costume (or lack there of. It’s amazing how so little can win so much…but then she did wear it well.), a fabu new ZMW Pumpkin Buggy generously donated by ZachC. RickPa was the happy recipient of the second prize Great Pumpkin 5-Seater just introduced in world by the phenomenal, meritorious Meret.

Zone QE4 is about to be transformed into an old west ghost town as QE4, Inoit_Sowell and TTA are joining forces to make a grandly happy and hellish Halloween celebration, Wild, Wild West style, on October 30. TTA is promising to make this a most “spooktacular” event with prizes and fun galore.

Forget all you have heard about a sluggish There economy. It’s a thing of the past and auction sales are booming yet again. Just have one look and you will see the sudden plethora of new and exciting pleasures.

On the fashion scene Dragonfly Designs continues to amaze with its diversity and simply gotta have creations. Just take a gander at their new men’s jeans and gorgeous tops for women. How does TOmmy and Sazzy do it and do it so consistently well? Hey, don’t ask just wear!

One of my personal favorites last week were the leather and suede saddle shoes introduced for men by EZ1. At last the guys are getting a chance to stomp around in something other than hiking boots (hey, don’t get mad; remember, I am gay).

DocMyke continues to give us the sexiest men’s pants. My butt has never looked better! Just take a look at his old worn brown leather pants (nope, sorry, that’s not my butt)!

Georgie Girl is a true renaissance beauty. She does it all and does it spectacularly well. She not only designs boards to go with her buggies but she designs the fantastic clothes to wear while you a sailing or buggying around on her toys. Look at her Pink Rose collection to be properly impressed!

What are the builders doing (well, besides TWWW I mean)? Halloween and more Halloween! Boo! At a quick glance have flying bats courtesy of the talented Banshee_Kate. There are mounds of pumpkins but, as you well know, there is only one pumpkin for me: Meret’s 5-Seater. Okay, maybe two: I simply love the Harvest Pumpkin Buggy from Melody_Copeland of Meldoinkle Designs. Okay, gee whiz! Three: the ZMW Pumpkin Buggy too!

One other spooky related tidbit that I simply love is Jinx_tv’s spectacular Happy Halloween Banner. If you are into size then grab this fabulous banner (okay, sit back, take a deep breath and take you minds out of the gutter)!

Majandi introduced tow wonderful must haves last week. If you’re planning to build on one of the new snow capped islands you might try camping out in the IGLOO (5-seater). Majandi also has given us a fun and practical Meeting Place Deck

Marisa9, who will shortly make you fortune’s spin in TWWW, gave us love antique wall lamps.

Searching for a knickknack that is not only quite handsome but educational as well? Then what are you waiting for? Go and get your copy of TheVoice hot of the presses thanks to the always surprising and pleasing Relapse. I promise it’s a good read!

In approximately two weeks QE4 will announce the finalists for the Fall Choice Awards for fashion, home and transportation. As is tradition, look for a Thanksgiving themed fashion event featuring the designs of our three finalists.

The actual awards ceremony will take place at the QE4 Christmas Choice Awards Gala in December.

Okay, what are you sitting there doing reading my column sillies? Go and get wild in The Wild, Wild West!

MAY THE PAZ BE WITH YOU, PARDNERS!
