Further Ramblings from Abroad
(No not “a broad”…geesh)

I know I have been ever so silent suffering the time lagging incessant ills of expatriotriation (I don’t really think that’s a word, ah, whatever). The time difference between Europe and the great There archipelago is simply exhausting (how on earth does SiMatt do it? Oh, yes, he never sleeps). Throughout the summer I have been following the happy happenings of There religiously in The Voice. I have had the itch to scribble something time and time again but I always feel frustrated, as the incredible writing staff of The Voice always seems to say and cover it all and so well.

I was thrilled to read of the changes that are finally being made to the PAZ. I have always been a huge proponent of the PAZ (but you know that already…see). I was bubbling over with excitement when I got an official E-mail from Ron Meiners stating that the PAZ will continue to use time only when it is in the world.  The only things that will change are the increments of time that can be purchased for a PAZ. PAZ refills will need to be purchased in 30, 60 or 90-day increments. What a timely relief (barump-bum), especially when nagging real life keeps one away from his or her much loved PAZ. It was always here today gone…(ticking, ticking, ticking)

The inimitable and all mighty messenger of the Gods of Nene, Vash, also contacted me a while ago with the news that Hula Gulch would indeed eventually be a permanent fixture in our colorful world. I am so excited that the brilliant work of our great designers will be back for good and in time for a new and even better Wild West Fest. I am also grateful that my poor inventory challenged avatar can now divest himself of many precious possessions, all for a great cause.

Actually, I think Vash needs a bit more praise as his There Fun Times, much like Geea’s The Voice of There, is a welcome friend that I look forward to receiving regularly in my In-Box. Both are vivid, joyous reminders of the Archipelago for a Thereian in exile.

The last articles by Archie and Rick-Slick struck an exposed nerve for me. Hallelujah! They even gave me the renewed inspiration to write. Archie, Rick et al. brought home (even if I am not Home or THERE) the fact that the vivid 3-D world of Nene is all about friendship first last and always and marvelous well-planned events. Archie’s well-chosen words and Rick’s great interview and pictures made me incredibly homesick for my little house on Caldera (not to mention my vacation PAZ, formally planted near the offices of The Voice [and since timed out], ever so CarCus, Geea, NigelBlackthorne and Meret and so fabu to the 3D-Max!). What of the Street of Dreams Event? Simply awesome! The detailed recreation of the house on the hill at the Bates Motel by CarCus is amazing. Actually, I don’t know why it took my breath away. I would have expected nothing less from the CarCus. His enormous talents know no limits.

I am also thrilled that BrianKinney has taken over the leadership of QE4. I see that he has plans and I am sure that they are BIG (as they should be). The Voice will undoubtedly keep you abreast (oh, there you go again…that’s not “a breast” dammit) of all the fabu events that Brian is busy conjuring up.

This will probably be my last rambling for a while (yet again). After spending a glorious summer in the north of Italy (falling madly in love with my BF all over again…and missing him terribly, now that he is back Stateside), next week I am heading with my sister and nephews for Provence (minus my lovely lap top) then on to London to see yet more family (with my trusty lap top…so who knows?) and a well-deserved West End fix. I will probably not be back to the Archipelago until late September but I can’t wait to see my friends and check out my room at Betty Ford Tiki. Poor ZachC and Geea are going to have to set aside oodles of time to show me what’s new and exciting first hand.

I can’t wait to plant myself in the lavender fields of Roman France. I want so to sit in the café in Arles immortalized by Van Gogh. I may even cut off my ear in celebration (do you think I should call Betty Ford Tiki first????)!

Fallan and Brian, get well soon! May the great Gods of Nene, bless you all!

MAY THE PAZ BE WITH YOU!
