Archie Explores The All New There
However, and it’s a big “however”… The old computer I had was a familiar friend. It was not so strong and it’s hard drive, once and endless sea (like in There) became a mere pond, filled with data. So yes, it had problems and then finally crashed into oblivion. That’s where it is now. One day soon I hope to retrieve my music library, my photo library, et al… Some things never change. There’s odd loneliness. On one hand, a peaceful escape from the frenetic freeways and the tight quarters of city life, to the other hand of There’s massive oceans, quiet hillsides, long solo journeys exploring vast open lands. So, I found the “Big Drain” is now plugged. Maybe I heard tell of this, I can’t remember, so I’ll plead “executive privilege” (can I do that?). But non-the-less, the Big Drain used to be open. So was it closed to keep the new wetter water from draining back in or to keep more from coming out and flooding the world? San Francisco’s Bay Area has measured water in Real Life as 7 inches deeper (due to the polar ‘ice melt’). I found what I call “San Frankie” in There, in “Kali” ~ see pic ~ but the water level looks normal to me. Thanks, I’m sure to the Big Drain, which I am very glad to hear it’s keeping us all safe. And speaking of “Kali”, whatever name the There Public Works Dept. ultimately chooses, hopefully it won’t too tough to break the “Kali” nickname it has established itself with. Other nick named places in There have almost overcome the original names- but it was bound to happen. You know what it means when someone say “Snowman Island” but it’s really Samsyn’s Frosty Island, and the mountain on Comet, what is it’s real name? “Frosty Mountain”? Hmmm…I think… or is that on Snowman Island? Things don’t seem to load much faster with my new computer, although that’s not surprising when I visit LagoLand. It still stands gleaming in the sunshine, but we all know There has its share of ruins. So I had to stop by on my fly over to see if any reconstruction had begun on the ruins of There. The answer… no, they (MAB) haven’t. Still rubble and busted pillars. It beggars the imagination to suppose what the old buildings looked like and the kind of communities that used them.
Early pre-Therians. Neanderthal-like avies. Knuckle dragging early grief-pots that worshipped monkey statues, and flew poorly made propeller airplanes. Please visit the Maiden Flight area for proof of this.
Or maybe they will prove to us that we are the aliens!
Keep Searching, Archie
