The Grand Entrances of There Part I
The Grand Entrances of There Part II |
The
Economics of Being a Therian Are we only slaves to the greedy
master of the corporate regime? Or, You could be (and maybe you are) hooked on something like building custom motorcycles, decorating your house, photography, computers, etc. in Real Life. Could be addicted to any number of costly personal vices, but, would you be having the fun, experience the growth and development that is yours when your “playing” in There? It’s more than a “make believe world” isn’t it? Although it’s that too- when you want it to be. It is so much more than endless lands and seas to travel, explore and discover for yourself. So is it worth it? Or is it too expensive? Yes, with-in it’s own scale, the economy of making ThereBucks is not easy for most, and yes, there does exist a certain number of wildly successful designers and entrepreneurs that prove that it is possible to generate some [spending] money for your avie, [if at least]. -So the rest of us who struggle to buy There-stuff, have to face the same old harsh reality, oh yeah.. just like Real Life…well criminy, whadd’ya want? lol!
It does lead us to a point where we ought to weigh the balance of wants against needs. Does your avie get cold, sleepy, hungry, wet, sick..etc? You can do everything the next person can do without buying everything in site. Well what else makes There a something that offers lasting value? In my opinion, that is really immeasurable. It’s the fascinating members, and because they are in this cool world, how can you not marvel at the worth and value of a platform where you can connect with a most entirely super cool group of human beings, like in There? So many people in There are willing to teach, chat, and share information about everything under the sun. I have learned tons and tons of neat stuff about doing things from building sky PAZ to cool computer tricks, and, as an extremely non-techy person, I haven’t ever been made to feel “duh” about it, and that is really valuable to me. In There, I am free stumble forward and ask questions, in-world or in forums and always, I find the coolest most helpful people, which is really the greatest! My fifteen dollars never got that much mileage at college. (hmmm, go to There? –or pay student loans? Oh, if I had all to do over again…) So what’s it worth to you? |
