2007? Archie Explores the Future
“I find our accuracy rate so low that its in the “negatives”, but we have a heck-uva lot of fun making wild predictions anyway.” Since back in those early days when the planet There was still cooling, avies were ready to make any stripe of outlandish predictions for the next year. I have heard forecasts of weather, night and day changing light, and recently, a popular one is realistic water. If this comes true, another entire history of what the condition of the water will be like. Some have conjectured that the realistic “Myst” –like water would have deep clarity and wavy motion - extending out from an island’s shoreline perhaps a couple kilometers. Then back to our familiar Kurt Vonnegut “Ice Nine” hard perma-blue ocean. So would we still be able to run our vehicles through the really “watery” water? I would hope so…perhaps the waves might splash up around the door of a buggy but as long as the engine doesn’t stall a hundred meters off shore…that’d suk, can you imagine having to get towed back in? Lol!
Then there has been a history of predictions regarding undersea activities, habitats, portazones (PAZ) and even cities. Some have speculated that these cities already exist, being populated by some members of some other little known gaming platform. Perhaps the There staffers are handily swimming about in these glorious underwater communities enjoying luxurious spa treatments and a plethora of lush amenities.
I doubt it, though.
What with the world of There facing the future in a competitive world of online platforms, we better not run too much hot water, I have heard that resources are the bottom line of keeping systems going in a big place like There.
2007 is gonna be cool! |
