Archie Explores Forests in There [Part I]

The forests in There are varied, and many. This week lets take a look at some tropical palm forests in the humid climes of Ootay and nearby lands. The enchanting mists hang in the trees yet high above reveals a fascinating play-land of rich vegetation. 

I cannot resist the pull to return to this magical area. Not far from the famed “boardwalk” and also the “other” mushroom forest. There many intriguing locations around to find a private spot for a nice, homey little PAZ (portazones). 

As I approach the fog bank, I notice the depth of the trees vanishing into the mystical and misty hillsides. The rich green colors fade into a watercolor dreamlike fantasy world.  

It’s all about light. 

You’ve probably heard famous architects talk about how light is everything. It changes from city to city throughout the world, as it does in There from land to land. I have to admit what a great job the creators of There have done with the affective moods and sense of “place” with brilliant combinations of fog density and “global” lighting.  

While hoverboating, it is an adventure to disappear into a thick fog and fly by senses only. I’m pretty sure the sloping hillsides are just up ahead… 

While on my picture shoot, I noticed another h-boat moving through the cloudy haze up ahead. I had a chance to catch up to an avie named Kaltannis. He had handled his hoverboat with precision, and turns out he’s flight instructor in RL too. Very Cool! 

We had a great time talking about what a cool area this is, so I promised to make him famous by being mentioned in an ‘Archie Explores” article! LOL! (Thanks for being there Kaltannis, great to meet you! – by the way - that’s you in the fog flying your hoverboat!)
