Archie Weather Reports… Trees, Fabulous Trees! by Archie I can’t imagine There
without trees, can Yes, trees are just plain cool. Is it they remind us of shade and forests and beautiful landscapes in the real world? Well, true they do. Trees are a big part of a symbiotic relationship to humans. It’s kind of nice having the air cleaned by trees, and lots of paper things, like magazines, cups, books, and bless you, tissue!. But I think there is something more going on with our woody friends. In the books by
Carlos Castaneda, his character Don Juan, in the book Tales of Power,
tells of heightened awareness, and how ancient Native Americans had great
insights into nature and all living things. “Trees” Don Juan tells us, “are
the only living thing that has an aura which is virtually identical to
humans” (slightly paraphrased). There is evidence of this by seeing how
attached we can become to trees. The big tree outside your house, even if

Maybe get ants on me? Actually I don’t think I’ve actually ever “hugged” a
tree (maybe as a little kid, lol!) but the idea doesn’t seem so bad. Maybe
the love goes into the tree and the earth, and, well I think this world
could use all the love it can get. It has certainly taken a lot of
punishment from us. * sigh * Ahem… I digress… This is a THERE article, and hey!…I can’t even hug an avie! So I must choose to live vicariously and symbolically I suppose, but I would hug a There tree if could! The variety of trees and plants is getting impressive. Sure there are a few barren lands still, (hint hint- psst! Hey There! we need some trees on Comet and New Kansas…), but we seem to be moving in the right direction. Designers have done an amazing job with trees too. Keep ‘em coming, folks, trees only bring good vibes! |
