Archie Weather Reports…

Where in The World?

Names of places help remember where we’ve been, where we are and where we’re going.  It seems Therian society has been less than lackluster in naming places when we are on the water. Here are some suggestions…

Thanks to several contributors in the There Official Forums, here are a few ideas;

Hemp Harbor
iVillage Inlet
Clucky's Cove
Gulf of Cangrejo
Motu Strait
Burujo Bight
Frosty Fjord
Marooned Lagoon
Sajan Sea
Tyr Slough
Sea of Jobaji

Thanks for those Jo Bleaux!  These are the kind of names that help one remember a place. Some suggestions were humorous, and I suppose that could help one to recall a place as well. Okay, the title “Unspecific Ocean” for the outer ocean regions is rather broad, but then, so is the outer ocean region! lol! (Thanks for the contribution- please see “Tips and Tricks” forums for that one.)

Of course, “Duda Bay” is pretty much a given, and perhaps too, “Tiki Harbor”, although we don’t have much of a shipping trade happening in that “harbor”…well not yet anyway! I liked the idea of the “Crooked Straight” of North Motu (also in “Tips and Tricks” forums for credits on that contribution).

There are so many watery places that could use names. Tyr, Egypt, Saja, Comet is waiting, and New Kansas and many more as well. This is a major research project in need of a good sized staff. Thalasso*, I don’t know how you found all those land locations/names, omg! but, we have you to thank for that research though, and if the water ever gets official names and location titles, I’m sure they won’t wait too long to show up on the ‘maps of There’ as well.

*please see There Maps Article in Voice Archives for link to Thalasso’s  There maps site.
