Where are we headed, …  There?

 by Archie

Everyday I see grim faced, unhappy looking people pressing their way through town, totally at service to themselves and allowing little kindness to those around them. I wait at an intersection and see the dour looks on their faces, and so I too, feel like all-this world is just for our meager opportunities to get ahead of the next car, the next person, to try to climb up like crabs in a bucket. So often seems like this whole world is just a bunch of opportunistic people scraping to get by on whatever we can take for our own selfish needs.

I am sorry, but frankly, I’m sick of it. I know we don’t live in this world just to grimly eek out another gray day of existence. We don’t intend to lie to our children that the real world is not anything like a Disney film, but a disappointingly sad and hopeless concrete jungle.

Not just hope.

But there (and There) is more going on than this. You know it. You have always known it. Otherwise life wouldn’t just seem pointless, we would know as clear as a bell, that it’s all over- it would truly be pointless, and we would shortly thereafter, cease to exist. Well, it hasn’t happened yet.

Rhetorical Question?

How would it be in a better world? Why wouldn’t there be the “shiny happy people” everywhere doing brilliant things to make each other’s life better and better? I know some will exclaim- “What a bunch of idealistic tripe”, but you know what? Let me explain…

A new viewpoint is coming, for real…it is a choice to bring it on or keep living in the old school, “world o’ hurtin’” that we know and allow so well…(snort!)

Let’s put this way, what would you prefer?

  1. To have an inspiring job you love and simply excel at, or…
  2. Have a dull, uncreative stuck-in-a-rut job that sucks the life force out of you?

Would you prefer to:

  1. Be healthy and vibrant and looking forward to each new day, or…
  2. Sick and tired of it all and looking for cheap thrills to hide the anguish?

How would it be if:

  1. Really smart positive people figured out how we could all have cool jobs, free or cheap inventions and ideas, or…
  2. Be controlled by career politicians whose ego comes first before public welfare and prefer to keep us “broke” and “dumbed down” so they would seem more powerful and in “control”?

Or if:

  1. Society pulling each other up, teaching us (and our kids) to be brilliant conceptual thinkers, and continuously make the world better and better.
  2. Or, the “standard government issue” keeps us suppressed, uninspired, and bores us nearly to death in classrooms filled unrelated, forgettable dry facts, making us all like air-head zombies? (please note; it’s not the teacher’s fault, it’s the system)

When presented with these real choices, eventually, we (as a civilization) will find the positive choices to be much more stimulating, fulfilling and rewarding. So really, there’s not much of a choice. Move up the ladder or perish.

Anyway, it’s not going to be up to “others” to do this for us, but up to all of us to firstly, be aware of a real direction to move in, and secondly, just to bend a little to allow it to happen. This isn’t hard to do.

The world is still shrinking, shrinking, shrinking…

Like There, we can easily have a view of the world from space. IM’s and communications have made all our ideas and thoughts micro-seconds apart. There can be no socially effecting secrets without everyone soon discovering that something wrong is being covered up.

There is like a training ground for this coming new world. It is a practice ground where there are really no “career politicians” per se- but a logical non-wasteful, non-egotistical, constructive social environment, where personal suffering will be practically eliminated.

Were so close.

Any activities, which are a breach of public trust will be exposed before everyone to see and know, and will be just too embarrassing for anybody to be even remotely connected to such behavior. Many in this world are currently standing in that unfortunate club. It’s going to be a sorry site when it all shakes out.

There is not just a playground chat platform. There is, whether it’s aware of it or not, a social experiment in the very next steps of where the “real world” is headed. “Griefers” or cheaters, do not fair well in this environment, when so many self-motivated, creative and brilliant members are working enthusiastically for each other’s benefit. Just look at all the cool stuff going on There! Woot! Go Therians!

If  I’m “preaching to the choir”, well, then, thanks for being so tuned in!

Archie
