How Do I Love There?

How do I love There?  Let me count the ways.

 

I love it when I log on and see my friends online as well.  It makes me smile, and imagine a wonderful There time ahead.  I get to catch up on their RL happenings, or maybe just hang out and talk about There-related stuffs.  I get to go to places with them, something that I wouldn’t have the chance to do with them in RL, given the distance we have (at the moment).  Being with my buddies gives me that sense of companionship, even in a virtual world.  Don’t you just love finding good friends you wouldn’t meet had you not registered in There?

 

I love the clubhouse I recently rented.  It still needs a lot of work, but I love the way it looks a bit better now.  I love the way I could host an event and invite friends over and hang out.   I love the coziness it gives me when I get back after enjoying one There day to log off.  Although more often than not, instead of logging off right away now, I tend to stay a bit longer just to enjoy the house a bit more.  My house gives me that sense of comfort and privacy in world.  Wherein I get to whisper to myself, “I am home.”

 

I love the places I saved in my favorites.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t have saved it.  Those awesome views, cool landmarks, nice houses and breathtaking hideaways.  I love the thought that I haven’t seen most of them yet.  There are just too many islands to visit, too many places to go to, that even those who have been in There for five years or more are thrilled to find a new place yet again to explore.  The familiarity of these places gives me that sense of community.  Likewise, the unfamiliarity to some places I explore gives me the sense of adventure. 

I love the activities I can do in world.  I love to do some laps in my bike, board or buggy even.  Dress up, play cards, chat.  I enjoy doing them, and the bonus of which is I get to skill up as I do them that gives me a sense of achievement.  While learning how to do things by asking helpful people, and paying it forward by helping new members in their way around gives me that sense of fulfillment.  

I love the fact that There simulates real life.  Despite the drama, which can lead to heartbreaks, falling out, and misunderstandings, I love being There.  It has become an extension of my RL that gives me the sense of reality in more ways than one.
