Monday morning I received an invitation to a buggy announcement show. I’m generally pretty busy in the mornings so I normally wouldn’t go. This one, however, was from Vanderjos. For my regular readers that’s a name that should be familiar by now. He’s done some of the best TUVs on the market, and his buggies just keep on getting better and better. This show was to announce his second 4 seater buggy, the VvD Prototype Concept SW. It sports the crossed bars grill that’s rapidly becoming his tradmark. Once again he’s created a very well crafted buggy that shows excellent attention to detail. Vanderjos is from Spain, and he isn’t totally comfortable with English. I’m from the US and I can tell you his English is 100% better than my Spanish! During our conversation I also learned that he’s only been using PhotoShop for about 6 months. All I can say abut that is that he’s a fast learner. He had many of his buggies out besides the new one and I fell in love with his Sun Explorer GT. This one too shows excellent attention to detail, and even though he’s only been designing buggies for a short time, in my opinion he’s rapidly closing in on the quality and style of one of our most famous designers, Jinxed_Karma. I expect you’ll see his buggies in this column again. After leaving the show I opened up the auctions. As I opened the transportation search on my way to the buggies a yellow bike caught my eye. I don’t review bikes very often, and I’m not sure this one is all that new, but I like it! So here it is, the Omnibike - Yellow from our buggy stats expert and owner of one of the biggest buggy museums in There, Omnius. The bike sells for 23,499t and has its own distinctive look. If you’re in to bikes, check it out. It’s cool! Next up we have a buggy from back in 2005. It’s the Chimera by Additive. Priced at 9,000t this one is a blast from the past. Recently relisted, I doubt we’ll see it again, but for the price it’s a great deal. There are a LOT of newer buggies that don’t even compare in quality that are priced significantly higher. Finally we have the latest Beahmer Type-RR from Tonguesports. This one is orange and the detail is great. Toungesports is another who is getting better and better with each design. The shine on this orange buggy is well done, as is the detail. Priced at only 14,500t this is another bargain compared to some buggies I’ve seen recently. As you may have read in The Voice yesterday, the first of the 2007 Chase Series events was held last Friday. If you missed that one, there should be another this week. Keep an eye on The Voice for more details.
