Last week a friend told me it would be all but impossible to do my column and keep it Scion free. In fact I was challenged to try and do it! I looked at the front pages of the auctions, and I was afraid they were right. In my opinion (yes I’m entitled to have one… or maybe even two) there are too many Scions available now. Some are excellent, but as always when something becomes a glut on the market you can’t find the really good ones without wading through the rest. Buggies have been that way for years. It only took the Scion tC a month or so to get there. For those of you thinking it would be fun to paint one, go for it. Keep in mind, though, that it will be unlikely you’ll break even so do it for the fun, not because it’ll be profitable.

I took the challenge, and I managed to accomplish my Scion free task. I admit I had to stretch out a bit. For instance, let’s talk about bacios. When was the last time I reviewed a bacio? I don’t think I ever have! Many guys won’t buy a bacio. I personally never liked them much. To me they were always a bit too feminine. Mullachops has come to the rescue with his awesome M:Core:Rapture:Requiem. If this isn’t masculine enough for you, there’s a problem. This bacio looks tough and aggressive. I really like it, and you can imagine my surprise when I discovered its price is only 9599t! I may have to buy one for each of my alts!

That was one stretch, here’s another; how about the JND Blue Monkey Hoverpack? Yeah, I know it’s been around for awhile, but it’s so awesome! And it’s listed again! A mere 14,450t for an animated hoverpack! Thanks Jinxed_Karma. This one makes my day every time I see it.

Speaking of Jinxed_Karma, have you checked out his JND Penetrator XRS-07? This was first available back in November, but it’s back again! This buggy is GOOD. What am I saying? It’s a JND, of course it’s good… in fact, JNDs have defined excellence in buggies for years. To find one as awesome as this for only 19,850t, however, is very cool. Now maybe we should have a contest to see why it’s called the Penetrator… or not. Any help here Jinx?

Moving on to another buggy… yes I did find a couple… I wanted to show you the A10th anniversary Buggy by Kerry_Angels. This one is her 10th buggy design and is limited to 10 copies. It’s priced at 22,000t and was originally submitted in July of last year. Yes, it isn’t a new buggy, but good new buggies are getting hard to find.

I decided to finish up with a TUV since I haven’t reviewed any in a long time. One that stood out for me is the DMD Stallion-Gray by DragonMan. It’s got a nice clean, uncluttered look to it. The detail is excellent and I loved the seats. The rims are great and the dash works well. Considering all that I fully expected the price to be more than the 13,350t it’s listed at. I haven’t been watching the TUV market lately, but it seems from a casual glance it isn’t too hot, which could be one reason for this bargain; probably all those Scions.

Next week I hope to have some interesting pics from the Scions in the Park Show being held at ThereOrleans on Thursday the 24th. Yeah there’ll be Scions there, but give me a break, what else can I do? Scions are EVERYWHERE!!! You can sign up here if you’d like to check it out:
