Greetings fellow Thereians; Mr. ZachC will be on vacation for the next few weeks so I was given the honorable task of filling in for his column, and since Florida is pretty much frozen over there’s not much to do here so I quickly agreed. I have been reading Track & Terrain since I was a kid so this truly is an honor. So without any further ado let’s get started!

military camo.jpgVehicle: TOD – MILITARY CAMO
Designer: TrickedOut
Auction ID:
7438708
Price: 13,900T

I will start out with this exceptional TUV done by TrickedOut. The camo graphics have been laid out really well, they are crisp with nice edges and almost no blur. The shine and shading is very balanced and realistic which is tricky to achieve. The attention to detail isn’t lost when it comes to the interior and other components of the design which is very important because that is what collectors look for in a quality vehicle. TUV designers are a special breed, similar to buggy designers. Even though the TUV template is mapped better than the buggy template (opinion), finding the sweet spots to do the shine and shading is just as challenging on a TUV template.

heartcore.jpgVehicle: HC Frozen Heart Buggy Limited
Designer: Llewlyn
Auction ID:
7431989
Price: 20,000T
Next on our list is the collaborative work of Mullachops and Dalriada. These two designers have produced quality work over the past years and it is no surprise that their collaborative effort takes that quality one step further. The color combination and graphics really work well with the body style. The shine and shading are well balanced; great attention has been given to the interior and front end. I only wish this buggy had debuted during Valentine’s Day. Frozen Heart is limited to 10 and there are 7 in auction at time of writing.

frozen heart hc.jpgVehicle: HC Frozen Heart Bacio
Designer: Llewlyn
Auction ID:
7431984
Price: 9,500T

If you thought the Frozen Heart buggy was an interesting design, group it up with this bacio and you have got yourself a gift set. The Frozen Heart bacio is also a collaborative work by Mullachops and Dalriada in case you hadn’t already guessed. It is rare for good bacios to come around especially one that’s been created by such amazing designers. The textures and colors on this puppy are simply breath taking; they work so well with the concept. With this design the devil is definitely in the details and even if you are not in the market for a bacio, I recommend you do a trial on this to see what a good bacio looks like.

blue phoenix.jpgVehicle: ZMW Blue Phoenix
Designer: ZachC
Auction ID:
7439534
Price: 55,000T

What we have here is a masterpiece crafted by the master himself. I have a soft spot for this particular combination, silver and blue go together like milk and Oreos. So without any hesitations or even a trial I added this baby to my collection, however on a closer inspection I was taken back by the clarity of the phoenix graphic and how smooth the gradient was. Furthermore this particular body and grill style work really well, it’s a perfect balance between sporty and elegant and the shine and shading are dead on the spot which goes without saying. Pull up in this buggy at your next event and you are guaranteed to turn heads.

nasbar.jpgI would like to conclude this week’s column by shining some spotlight on the NASBAR series by ZMW. This particular one is the #2 and it was created in May of 06. The color combination and body style worked really well, the shine and shading are just perfect and balanced. If you weren’t able to get your hands on the NASBAR series from past fret not, there is a whole new set that is about to hit the market next week and they will really help me lighten up my wallet a bit. Check out the link and pick your favorite so you can grab em before somebody else does. http://buggytrend.hugehost.net/gallery/coming-soon

Auctions were pretty hot with fresh products this week and I am hoping for the same next week, I do plan on a short tutorial on creating crisp, clean graphics for a small sized template (such as buggy the template…..…. Yes they are very small……….we need more pixels………..I know you are reading this).
