The focus of this column is generally buggies, but as my readers know, if I see a cool hoverbike, boat or board, I'm not the least bit hesitant to show you what I've found. This week I'm gonna show you a new hoverboat by Majandi. It's called the Flying Machine, it's retro, and it's awesome. It reminds me of some of the things you'd read about or see in a Jules Verne novel. The propeller and rear fin use the default hoverboat animation. Majandi noted in the forums that he likes the flying machine models created by Leonardo DaVinci as well as many of the first real tries at getting man into the skies. This boat truly reflects that love. I need another hoverboat like I need a hole in my head, but I may need to add this one to my collection.
Next up, I discovered a new hoverbike. Sojka has only been a member since last June, but if her hoverbikes are any indication, I expect we'll be hearing a LOT more about her! I found three in the auctions but my fav has to be the Mark I: Sport Red. At 21,000t the price is very reasonable for the high quality bike this one is. As she says in her item description: Professional production. Perfect design. I have to agree.
Moving on to buggies, an old friend is back. While these buggies aren't new, they are significant because of their history and current availability. In short, the incredible Jinxed Karma hasn't introduced a buggy into world in quite awhile. Those you can find in resales tend to be on the pricey side. For those who love his buggies but are on a budget, there have been one or two designers who have tried to imitate that style. They fall short. Now back in auctions BuffaloBill has re listed his entire line! This buggy is based on a design by Jinxed Karma himself, no imitation here, and was provided to BuffaloBill to repaint as he wished. Shown here is the WWD Scarlet Avenger, one of my favs. There are 21 variations of this design running from 13,950t up to 18,850t. An incredible value for a buggy created by one of the masters of buggy design, and painted by another living legend. Now if Bill would hurry up and get back home so he could log in more, and Jinxed got his rl situation set up so he could log in and get back to creating, I'd be thrilled!
Last week I told you about IJordanI, who, by the way, has a new buggy in auctions this week. I'd review it, but it's already almost sold out. Never fear, I've come across yet another promising one. Nomad55 has done buggies in the past, but he appears set to move up to the top ranks with his latest creation, the Venom. This buggy is smooth, dark, and sinister looking. It's so far above anything he's done in the past I'm amazed and pleased. This is one nice ride for 19,850t and well worth a look. Great job Nomad! Since I'm running out of space, I'd like to finish with a buggy by WiKKeDeVA, called the CraZY BEAR. This is a design originally by another buggy designing great, Nazgul. He hasn't been around much lately, but he provided this design to Wikked. She went with it and created a buggy whose sales benefit the popular and fun event, “Bear in There”. I've done buggies to benefit events in the past, and I'm glad to see others doing so as well. This is a fine example.
Now it's time for me to get back in world and try to persuade myself I don't need to add to my collection!
