This week I was invited to do my reviews from “Your Mom's Funzone” at Ebony Rock. My host was the ever helpful Yes. He's done an awesome job of creating a beautiful Japanese garden in the zone. He tells me it isn't finished, but I was very happy to use it as a backdrop, finished or not. Our first buggy is the KBQ Ash Dragon by Khale. There are 2 still available out of the 10 originally released. This is a limited edition. The buggy is ash gray with crimson accents. 15,000t for a limited edition of this quality is a good price.
Moving on, we have the Lightning Buggy by Yoshitoshi. Yoshi is very well known as the designer some incredible gmax creations including There Orleans, several bikes, and the Sumo Arena. He's also done a few buggies. The Lightning buggy was built for the one year anniversary of the Lightning Yoshibike. This buggy has been around for awhile, and I did do a little work on the shine. Yoshi has given a lot to the community, so when I saw this one in the auctions I decided to bring it to your attention.
Continuing to browse through the auctions I discovered one of our designers from way back has listed a number of his buggies again. Akira_KJ and his Akira Design buggies are back. The prices are right, and compared with most buggies in this price range the quality is right up there. The one I liked best was the Enzo Street. Priced at 12,000t this one should soon be moving out of the auctions and onto the track.
Another bargain I found is the L2 Tribal Love by lisa2. It's a nice, clean design with beautiful tribal graphics placed perfectly to accent the design. At 9,000t this one should be be especially interesting.
Finally we have a new buggy by lJordanl. The JVH Silver Prelude 06 and its counterpart the JVH Black Prelude are all new, and limited editions. The item description threw me for a second as it states that the submission date was 03/9/06. Then I remembered Jordan is Australian, which to us Americans means the submission date is 9/3/06. The buggies show a lot of originality and quality. I've said it before, but it bears repeating. This young man may be the one that puts ZMW out of business!!! So, why am I reviewing them? Because they're so awesome I had to buy the silver one for myself! It's the price I pay for doing this column. I sometimes end up spending more money than I had intended.
