The past few days have been a lot of fun for me. Lots of events supporting Childs Play including the awesome party at The Village Market Place. I did wonder about the name of the ice skating rink though. “I’m too ZachC for my skates”? Hmmmmm. I also heard someone say they’d contribute tbux if I’d promise not to sing. I guess I’ll stick to painting buggies.  

Another fund raiser was the Designer Showdown between Grimm and myself. This got started as a challenge in the forums. The idea was to have both of us paint the Caddy from VLB and see which won the most votes. The event was held at the Cannery Monday evening. A paintball fight broke out at one point, but what do you expect when EvanK, Nigel Blackthorne and the gang from Pirates Keep are in attendance? The voting was a bit lopsided, 22 to 4 for Zach’s design, but no one seemed to care. Grimm even said he was gonna vote for mine. We did manage to raise 7,000t and it all adds up. Here are the screen shots from the signs at the event that were used for voting. The purple one is the original Caddy from VLB.

 

I found a few more Christmas items in the auctions this last week and figured I’d review them here. First up is Cartel Kustoms Santas Sled by Grimm. It’s a holiday version of his famous Cadzilla hoverboat and sells for 30,000t. It’s big and is painted in festive holiday graphics. It seats 5 comfortably and did I mention that it’s BIG?

 

If you’re looking for a holiday bike, we have two of them here this week. The ~StaR*BuRST~ by WiKKeDeVA sells for 18,888t. It’s a festive blend of color with a red bow, white sparkle, and yellow stars on a great bike model created by Judan.

 

The S3 Xmas Yoshibike is an older design by Yoshitoshi that combines a unique bike model and beautiful holiday graphics. Priced at only 7,326t this has to be the bargain of the week, or maybe even the year!

 

Another older design is the DMW 330xs Yule Tide Ride by MickDanger. While the design does look a bit dated, remember, it’s being re-released, and with a price tag of only 12,000t it just may fit the bill for some who are looking to drive and show  their holiday spirit on a budget.

 

Finally we have the Dragonblade RD-1 One Off by Kortt. This buggy was designed as a one of a kind buggy to be auctioned with the proceeds going to Childs Play. The buggy is a deep rich red with a white racing stripe. The shine is beautiful and the graphics are well done. The detail is sharp and clear. The auction number is 5558267 and it expires on 12/14/06 at 9:54am. If you want a really cool one of a kind buggy and you want to help out some deserving children this is the perfect way to do both. Way to go  Kortt!
