Polymatrixdragon has done it again. The Neo Tokyo warpaint is very original, very well done, and great looking. It’s limited to10 copies, and priced at 23850. If you’re looking at collectables this should be on your list to see. Nomad55 has a new buggy out, the Rapid Oxydatation. It’s priced at 18850 limited to 10 copies. Going the limited route seems to be the route many buggy designers are taking lately. I think in the next week or so I may see if I can get an interview with one or two of the top buggy resellers and see what they think of this trend. The Camo Buggy V3 by Airforce_Zulu is another well done buggy. I tend to shy away from buggies that use a lot of There content, like the windshield, but it works for this design. Priced at 12,500t this one is in the lower end of the market and compares very favorably with most in this category. It’s also one of the better camo designs I’ve seen at any price. The CMC Ecko GT-O by fastidious is priced at 15,950. It’s one of a series of 7 buggies each limited to 10. See? More limiteds. I REALLY have to talk with a reseller or two. This design comes in Red, black, blue, tan, pink, and reddish orange. One suggestion I would make regarding these is that some don’t have full catalogue images. No matter how good the design is, I have yet to find anyone who really likes NOT having an image available for them to see before they try. If this particular model hadn’t had one it would have gone unnoticed. I have to admit, my color descriptions may be incorrect since I only opened this one and the blue. They were the ones that showed full images. Finally we come to the Silver Racer by PennfieldBoy priced at 15,000t. I really like this one. It’s got a good silvery metallic look and the graphics are also well done. It’s head and shoulders above many in this price range. Now time for me to rant a bit. It seems last week while researching for this column I stumbled across two instances of texture theft. I contacted the people involved and submitted my complaint to There. One contacted me and apologized. He’s new and didn’t really understand what was going on. I accepted his apology and have even offered to give him help in the future if he wants it. The other lets say took it to official forums. As of now, none of his buggies are available and I want to thank There for acting so quickly and decisively. My suggestion to new designers: Stay away from the resource files. The temptation to use them can be strong. Fair warning to texture thieves: many of us are checking items all the time. If it isn’t our texture, we do notify the designer affected. Sooner or later you will be reported.
