I took a couple of weeks off for a trip to Vancouver, British Columbia and returned to find some very interesting developments in the world of Therian transportation. For instance there’s the newest JND buggy in auctions. This is arguably the first JND of this year. There was another created as an ‘07 model, but it was submitted at the tail end of ‘06 and was never available in auctions.. The Rampage XRS-07 is a very limited edition of 5 ever to be built. Only 3 will be available in auction and they will be listed one at a time. The first one was made available on June 10th and the auction runs until June 17th so it’ll be over by the time you read this.

As usual the Rampage exemplifies attention to detail and the gorgeous styling Jinxed_Karma is known for. It’s green, which I joked with Jinxed about. I keep telling him green doesn’t sell well. With the current bid in auction of 125,000t (at the time of writing) I guess it doesn’t have to! He only needs to sell one! With two more to go, this could be one of those rare buggies that future collectors will lust after.

If you’re looking for quality and style at a more affordable price, I can’t recommend the M:Core buggies by Mullachops any more highly. The design and quality are superb. The interior alone shows incredible attention to detail and the seats are perfect. The body is innovative and very VERY well done. I checked out the M:Core:GoldenBrown for this column, but it comes in other colors.

The GoldenBrown is priced at 19,599t and is limited to 10 copies. There were 6 available when I checked the auctions. There are 5 available now. In my opinion Mullachops is one of the top buggy designers in There and his buggies may well be on their way to becoming collectable as more and more people discover his work.

I try to find and feature a new designer when I can. For that, the buggy I want to review this time around is the X5X GT 07 by BikerX5X.  I’ve known Biker for awhile and I knew he was working on a buggy. His GT 07 is very well done for a second effort. It’s priced at 15,000t and who knows? He’s young and learning. With a start like this, someday it could be collectable as being a well known designers first work. Who wouldn’t love to own a copy of Jinxed_Karma’s first buggy for instance?

Recently Nex3d came out with his R50 hoverboat. Now he’s introduced a new version in red. The Nexus R50 Red is priced at 28,850t. It’s just as gorgeous as the first R50, and it’s RED! (Yeah I’m partial to red) The R50's were designed entirely by Nex3d and are not based on a real life car. I mention that because as you may remember, his first attempt at a car based hoverboat was removed from world because it too closely resembled a Bugatti Veyron. It was called the Veilron.

Nex appealed the decision, and finally There told him if he modified the front end, they’d approve it. Nex got to work and his new Nexus S1 (Veilron) is the result. Since I have one the originals, which can’t be seen btw, unless you have a patch by Aztec3, I posed them side by side. As you can see the front end has been changed significantly. He also did it in a different color scheme but everything else is true to the original.

The Veilron is currently priced for 3 days only at 24,000t. After the 19th it’ll be going up to the regular 28,850t price.

Next Sunday, the 24th, there’ll be a buggy designers’ workshop. Invites went out through the Buggy Designer Group. The event is open to anyone who’s ever painted a buggy. If you’re interested in attending, the event link is here:
