Fall is upon us, and with it comes Halloween! There are a few themed transportation items already available. Some are new; others have been around for awhile. One that’s been around is Carcus’ Animated Bat wings. It’s an old staple. The animation is perfect and the wings look really bat like. The Batwings are priced at 12,450t, which for an animated “hoverpack” is pretty reasonable. I bought mine back when they first came out and people still love them. Another old standby is the Harvest Pumpkin Buggy by a famous name in buggies, Melody Copeland. Melody has come up with some incredible designs in the past. It’s good to see her back around. Some of her other creations are buggies like the Kripsy Kream Custard Filled, and her incredible Web Slinger Limited. She has relisted a lot of her older buggies including her cereal buggies. We all hope this wonderful artist be wowing us with some new creations in the future. Next we have a hoverbike. The Witches Broomstick Bike by Phlit has to be one of the most perfectly executed broomsticks I’ve ever seen. It’s perfect for the Halloween season. No self respecting witch should be without one! It’s priced at 10,000t and I have to say I was impressed. Getting back to buggies, I found the Little Devil by Sharmilla. Sharmilla has been around for awhile but I believe this buggy may be her best effort yet. The shine and detail are well done. The graphics are cool, and the interior looks good. It’s priced at 17,000t, which isn’t bad for a buggy of this quality. Finally I’m going to go ahead and mention the Arachnophobia by ZMW. I haven’t done a new Halloween buggy in a couple of years but I think this one makes up for it. The spider on the hood has actually made a few people a little “uncomfortable”! It’s priced at 18,850t, has lots of detail, including spider web and spider graphics. If you’re into scary stuff you may want to check this one out.
I’ll be checking back next week looking for more Halloween items as well as any others that grab my attention. For those who are interested I generally start hunting the auctions on Friday and Saturday. By Saturday evening I have what I want to write about and I spend some time on Sunday putting it all together. I’ve been told I’ve missed some great buggies, but if they aren’t in auction when I’m hunting there isn’t much I can do. I do check a lot during the rest of the week, but unless it really catches my eye I just browse and save the actual research until Friday and Saturday. If you’re a designer who would like to see their item reviewed, there’s a much better chance if it’s in when I’m looking.
