First up I saw BigD26’s new Corbras earlier in the week. I loved them, and ended up buying one of each for my collection. The DMC Corbra 2008 has to be the best buggy he’s ever done. I’ve heard people say it has a ZMW look to it, but that’s sort of inevitable since BigD has been working with me at the Buggy Workshops since the beginning. He’s there every meeting and absorbs the information from the participants like a sponge. The results are impressive. He’s come a long way in a year and I’m happy to praise the work he’s doing now. The Corbra R-2008 is listed for 15,850t. For the shine and overall attention to detail this has to be a best buy. This next buggy is in keeping with the upcoming Halloween celebration. The Bad Bones Buggy Ltd by Delightra is a limited edition buggy. There will be no more than 21 ever built. I’ve known Delightra for years and if she says it’s limited you can take that to the bank. The graphics are crisp, clear, well done and appropriate to the theme. This buggy has a nice shine to it and the details are handled well. Priced at 33,000t this is one you may want to take a look at. Next from “the committee” we have 3 more buggies. The first is “Heat by 2Cool” from Samantha_Cool. The buggy is stated to be limited to 10 right in the description which also includes the date of submission, 10-16-07. I LOVE when designers do that. The buggy itself is priced at 13,995. It’s an inexpensive, simple red and black buggy and for the price it’s a good bargain. Another is the Black Satin by Twoputter. I’ve known Twoputter (in an older avi) for years. He’s probably better known as a reseller than a designer, but if this buggy is any indicator that could change. The Black Satin is priced at 13,850t and once again, for this price range it’s exceptionally well done. The grill is quite original and gives the buggy a unique look. I really like this buggy and I’m glad the committee found this jewel in the morass of the auctions. Finally they brought me the Power D-1 by x_Daniel_x. This buggy is bright, SHINY blue. The paint actually looks wet. The grill gives it a unique look and the attention to detail is excellent. The Power D-1 is priced at 15,100t and along with other buggies reviewed here today demonstrates that there are some great designers out there ready to compete for your tbux. I was so impressed with the committee’s ability to help come up with so many cool buggies in such a short time I may be taking this approach again. My thanks to the group with included J_Webby, ForsheetzNGigglez, and BigD26 (who will probably be surprised to see his own buggy here today! ROFL) |
