by ZachC This week I really wanted to do a column devoted to buggies; two seater buggies specifically. No four seaters, no TUVs, no Scions, no paintjobs, just buggies. Jinxed Karma made my goal a lot easier by releasing not one, not two, but THREE new JND Buggies! These aren’t high priced limited editions, either. These are buggies for just about anyone. The shiny white Apparition, for example, sells for 13,850t. For that price you not only get a cool white buggy you can feel good driving anywhere, you get JND quality. For those who don’t know him, Jinxed_Karma is known to obsess over details, and these buggies are no exception. They’re about as flawless as you can make a buggy. As of this writing, there were 8 of the Apparitions left, but Jinxed told me the other night he’d relist until he got tired of doing it. I’ve known Jinxed for a long time, and let me tell you, he gets tired of relisting pretty fast, so get ‘em while you can! The JND Revenant has been listed twice and sold out both times. I have to admit I bought one myself. This orange buggy is spectacular and it’s set off perfectly by the black stripes and black interior. It was priced at 22,850t and hopefully he’ll relist it.
The JND Mystic Sapphire is nothing short of gorgeous. Women especially seem to go for this one. The multiple shades of purple seem to sparkle like a fine gem. This one too is priced at 22,850t. At the time of this writing there were 10 left. Last week I mentioned I’d received a couple of images of some new buggies by aj_1988. They arrived in world last week. I was so impressed with his AJ – Tiger’s Eye Ltd. 20 that I bought one for my own collection. This red buggy was limited to 20 copies and is done with excellent textures and shine. The rims are sharp and clear, and he did all the work himself, no downloadable dash, no downloadable grill, it’s all his own work. I know of several collectors who bought them, and priced at 14,850t I’m not surprised it sold out in just a few days. He has two other buggies available including the new AJ – Copper Royale V.2 priced at only 9,999t. The Copper Royale is his second creation. It’s not limited and it too is an excellent value.
I’m always looking for new designers with promise. Obviously aj_1988 is one I believe is headed for success in There. It’s rare to find two in one week, but that’s what just happened. I was very impressed by the latest buggy from Optimize. The O3D Blue Rogue is an example of someone taking time to learn how to use the tools. I always say working with 3d models isn’t easy. If it was, everyone would be doing it. Optimize is taking the time to learn and I predict he’s going to be another very successful designer in our world. The O3D Blue Rogue has excellent shine, great attention to detail, and while some of those details have been done before he gives them a new twist. This one is billed as his first serious buggy, and as part of his competition I’m taking it VERY seriously. Priced at 17,850t this could be one for your collections. I’ve added one to mine. Great job Optimize.
The last buggy I’ll review here today is the Red Demon by MysticBeauty. I avoid featuring buggies that use the Majandi free dash, but she did a great job on the rest of the buggy, so this week I’ll make an exception. The Red Demon is priced at 19,000t. I like what she did with the grill and the hood stripe. The side stripes are another nice touch and the shine is understated yet gives the impression a dust cloth would slide off the fender. She shows a lot of promise and I hope she’ll continue creating and improving.
This week I was happy to finally be able to do a column featuring only two seat buggies. It’s been a long time and I thank the designers who appear here for their excellent work. Hopefully they’ll keep us (and this column) supplied with many more high quality buggies in the future.
