This is a new column, and I want to take a moment to fill our readers in on what I plan for it. To begin with, I’m ZachC, and some of you may know that I design buggies and other vehicles. While my intent is to be objective, I’m not going to pretend ZMW doesn’t exist just because I’m the writer of this column.  

I plan on interviews with various designers, maybe even some customers! We’ll preview upcoming designs as I find out about them, and  reviews of what’s available. Not all items will be fresh out of submissions. You may find some retrospects, reviews of significant vehicles and maybe even items that relate to vehicles but you can’t drive. There will be announcements of upcoming events, racing stats, and whatever else that relates to the transportation in the world of There, like racing jackets for instance. If there’s something cool you’d like others to see, let me know and MAYBE I can include it. 

The plan is to make this a weekly column. Occasionally real life issues may prevent that, but I hope not too often.  

With the Thanksgiving holiday over, it’s time to get ready for Christmas. I really enjoy this time of year, and apparently a few of the designers in There do as well. This week we have an abbreviated column, but we’ll take a look at the two newest that have been introduced this year for your holiday cheer. You can expect more as we move into the season, I’m sure.  

Holiday Gingerbuggy

Next on the list is a buggy designed by Kiwimonk. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything new from Kiwi, but since his first design was a holiday buggy, he’s continuing his tradition with a 2005 addition to his holiday lineup. It’s the Holiday Gingerbuggy, priced at 18,995. The auction can be found here: http://auctions.browse.prod.there.com/items/view?ItemId=5144548

This one looks sooo much like gingerbread, and it reminds us of some of the great holiday buggies that Spyderbytez used to design. It’s good to see that some traditions continue on. 

 

 

ZMW Holiday Magic

Finally we have the ZMW Holiday Magic 2005. This is the third annual holiday buggy from ZMW. Every year gets better, and this one, like the others, is limited to the holiday season. Once it’s over this buggy won’t be released again. It’s priced at 18,850T and the auction is http://auctions.browse.prod.there.com/items/view?ItemId=5140962 . The theme this year is Christmas bells. The buggy is a shiny red and green with great ZMW detail.  

There are several other buggies available to celebrate the holidays, but those are being re-released. There are several that may catch your eye, and they shouldn’t be overlooked. I recommend doing a search for both “Christmas” and “holiday” when checking the auctions. Some show up in both, while others would be missed if you only check one or the other.
